How I'll be Using The Busy Bees Community Account

in BusyBees2 years ago

I thought I should pop up a little note about how I plan to use the BusyBees community account.

For those who don't know, when you create a community, it effectively creates a user account that is the community. I feel really happy that it's given us a nice community number ending in double zero. Yeah, I know it's random, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy 😁

The overall goal is to grow the community account's HP to make it's vote power grow, so it can then upvote BusyBees posts, which of course helps all of you grow.

The HP will be grown in a number of ways;

  • I've delegated 50HP from my personal account to get the community account started. I aim to make that a permanent delegation.
  • I'll aim to use it's vote power each day on members' posts. Admittedly it won't be much to start ! The curation rewards will feed back into the account's HP.
  • Any rewards from posts will help grow the account.
  • I'll need to check the rules to see if it is okay to upvote with my personal account across to the community account. If it is, I'll do that as well.
*Any tribe tokens earned will be gathered up for a while, then sold and converted to HP.

I expect it to take a long time for the account to grow, but over time it should benefit all of us.

I'm not sure what to do with the HBD the account earns; this is probably something to be discussed as a community.

One option is to convert them to HP to increase the voting power.

Another option (which I kind of like, even if it's a bit vague) is to build it up with the view that it could eventually be used as a fund to help out BusyBees who have a real world emergency, but on the understanding that when the emergency is over, it's repaid (probably over a period of time) with a small additional donation to boost it for the next member who has an emergency.

The one thing I won't do with the community account is take any of it for myself - I'm going to treat it as strictly "not my money" !

What am I going to do when I run out of images of bees on blue or purple flowers ? 😁

Goodmorning @alonicus great idea, growing an account and a community is hard work but great addition to hive. The Hbd can be powered up and make that growth go faster.
Again an introduction blog I would not do. Or make it like it’s not an intro blog like the first we all make. Downvotes will be there for sure.
Good luck and I have been a busy bee britt for five years so I will try to make a blog within the community aswell

Thanks for the reply ! Yeah, I think I got it wrong with the intro post idea. I'll delete that bit, then maybe do a re-write once I've had the chance to bounce ideas around with more people 😀

Indeed that will be the best to edit and ofcourse people can do a blog and tell who they are but leave the tag. Your building the community so that is the most important.
Good luck
