RE: Episode 2 of the Susan Religi-Spam Chronicles on local community FB page

CoPilot helped me correct the OCR pull from screencaps. This is how I extract text from FB threads on mobile. Let me know if you are aware of better ways.

Sure, here is the text with the OCR errors corrected:

Justa Otto: I will continue to report you to Facebook for spreading false & primitive beliefs on this page. This is a community page not a religious forum for you to spread your beliefs to people who are not asking you for that. It’s disrespectful & very non-consensual & many people keep asking you to stop with these posts and you continue.

Justa Otto: Kyle Galvan just keep reporting her. I'm not sure why the Admins keep allowing this on this page.

Camille Faulkner (Top contributor): Justa Otto, Good Morning! Just out of curiosity, how do you know it's false? Or do you just disagree with it? As a person who is a part of the community, why is he not allowed to share his beliefs? Religion is a part of community. I just feel like just because people disagree with something doesn't mean they shouldn't have their freedom to discuss it. If you disagree, just keep swimming. I disagree with the celebration of most holidays but think everyone should be free to take part in what they like but I should also be free to state my feelings. We can respectfully disagree but we can all agree once celebrating it's Friday!!

Anthony A Davis: Justa Otto Kyle Galvan, unfortunately, the admins had advised me to just keep scrolling when I reached out and suggested I contribute to the group instead of just lurking which I obliged. I agree with you all and believe it is discourteous for Susan to treat this page as her personal platform for pushing her religious views. Some of us just want to see relevant community content here.

Justa Otto: Camille Faulkner here is the about page for this group. I think that we can both agree that this is not the place for religious posts.

About: This group is for residents to share information, ask for and offer advice, share local business, etc.
NO Political Posts.

William Velazquez: Justa Otto, stfu. As an Atheist, You are the kind of person I loathe. There is an option to block people so you never have to see their posts again. So either you lack the intellect to think that way, or you just enjoy being a b*tch on social media. Don't you have a body and choices to worry about?

William Velazquez: Justa Otto, I don't see religion here.. I see a lot of sht posted that, under your assumption, would violate standards of the page. Do you btch on all of those too?

William Velazquez: Anthony A Davis, are religious establishments within Converse, Universal City, and Live Oak? Do YOU speak for 100% of those who live within those areas? Again... I ask. What is RELEVANT? You failed the first time. Before you try, Atheist, I am a Devout.

William Velazquez: Anthony A Davis, irony is someone, who was a Marine served the Constitution... Which included Religious Freedoms. Being "saved" by the Grace of God " telling someone to shut up about religion.

Camille Faulkner (Top contributor): Justa Otto, religion isn't mentioned though. Can you explain the difference between sharing and forcing down someone's throat, so I know how to approach the topic when I want to share?

P.S.: Susan also expresses Zionist Christian views on here so that is political, isn't it?

Anthony A Davis: William Velazquez, way to play "Devil's" advocate. Lol. Let me explain. Take a look at the first rule of the group which is NO Political Posts. Now, consider why that rule is in place. It's because the topic of politics is inherently divisive not unlike religion. If there are local churches or religious establishments with community events for our local residents, that is fine and dandy, but proselytization is another category. It's obnoxious and as you can observe in this and other threads people are prone to argue about it. This is not about free speech. It's about not being obnoxious and maintaining topical integrity in the group. I am a member of many religious groups on this platform and get my fix for debate and evangelism in those spaces. As the smart aleck that I am, I was considering ironically posting pagan content just to mess with them but I feel I have rocked the boat enough so maybe you can pick it up. It would be kind of funny if people post other religion's content to challenge Susan here and I would hope it would bring the issue to a head. Got any good Baphomet memes and willing to ruffle some feathers? :P (Edit: I am not actually advocating anybody actually do this as much as the thought amuses me.)

William Velazquez: Anthony A Davis, I will say only one thing... Religious posts are not political posts. The rest of your comment can be placed right up your third point of contact, as I did not read it.

Anthony A Davis: William Velazquez, the posts supporting Israel are not political? Sure buddy. The problem here is you are seeing it in black and white and failing to acknowledge that religion and politics can and do intersect.

William Velazquez: Anthony A Davis, Israel was attacked on Oct 8th 2023 by Hamas, where women, children, and men were raped, killed, and captured. Why do you not support Israel's right to defend themselves AND retrieve hostages which include American Citizens? You aren't the arbiter of what is taboo and what isn't. Maybe in YOUR house... But don't try telling me what is "taboo". You have done nothing but attempt to shove your beliefs down others' throats while b*tching and moaning that someone is doing such to you. Religion and Politics do not go hand in hand... Unless you are a hateful democrat always bashing religious people.

Anthony A Davis: William Velazquez, just admit you disagree with rule 2. You're not convincing anybody that religious posts don't have political implications especially since you just engaged the politics in your reply. I didn't even say anything about my personal views yet you made my point. The relationship between politics and religion is simply a matter of fact. At this point, let's just agree to disagree, k? I do enjoy debating these topics but this just isn't the place for it.
