Is using tools like Hive for community engagement beneficial? Please tell me what you all think.

I am a first-time user of Hive. I was introduced to the site through Professor @rasbas. I am still in the learning process of how all this works. Being that this is an education community, how has this particular community engagement benefited you? Have you received pertinent information that you were able to carry over into the classroom or your personal life? My goal is to engage with members of the community. and possibly receive some feedback on your perspective regarding the use of the Hive.

Saw post this via TheTerminal, welcome to the blockchain :-)

Bloggers/Vloggers on any platform produce content, shared in their own unique style.

Why HIVE ?

  • It's a crypto wallet
  • Really good content away from existing Big Tech platforms
  • I get to reward (curate) creators in any way I see fit (upvote/donate etc)

Thank you for the feedback!

Hello @steelersfan1 This is @macchiata from @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive! Congratulations and welcome! However, it would be awesome if you do an introduction post. As a sample of what an intro post is, you can refer to this intro post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There's no specific format on how you do your intro post, but there is some suggested content that we would love to see in your post. Information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want to produce, and what are your expectations in this platform. There's no pressure on this. You can choose whatever information you would like to share.

You can tag me @macchiata on your intro post then if you have done with it.

Hi Shonte, I'm learning Hive along with you. Based on another user's comment, maybe students would enjoy using hive to create projects in their own unique voice.

I was also introduced to Hiveblog through @rasbas last semester. This was a steep learning curve for me as I have never used other forms of social media much. Keep an open mind and be patient! As the semester progressed I became more excited about this opportunity using blockchain. I still consider myself a novice with a lot to learn but would like to create my own community focused on secondary math educators collaborating on ways to cultivate creative mathematical thinking in our students.
