STREET ART #202 – A little something from Kristiansand, Norway

in StreetArt5 hours ago

During the summer 2024 something happened in Kristiansand when it comes to street art. Quite a few new murals turned up around the city. I found most of them by accident while out walking. That was the summer when a well-known dachs in Kristiansand, passed away. He and his owner are known to the street artist envirement in our city. To pay tribute to Reinart (the dog) several artists started to paint small painting with Reinart. The first photo shows a mural done by an artist called Energinger.

The first one is found in the city center. The second is one of many with La Linea. There are allready many painted power boxes in town with La Linea. The onve popular Italien animation goes years back. In Kristiansand the artist behind these is Dot Dot Dot. A well known artist in Norway.

«Reinert the Dog»

All of these photos shows very small paintings ( approx 30x30 cm.) spread all over the city. They are so small and most often found among larger paintings. The dog is a famous «street art dog» in the city of Kristiansand. He and his owner both have an Instagram acoount where they post lots of street art, landscapes, architecture from around in and outside our city. « Reinert the Dog» died last year sometime during the summer. Many street art «friends» have since the day he left us, painted all these small paintings. A wonderful way of paying tribute to him. There keep coming more and more small muralt with Reinert. I think I might have seen more than fifty by now.
