For the CCC's Street Art Contest #238 organized by @digi-me, we're staying in Lyon again with this mural done by Ax in the Grande Montée in the Croix Rousse district. It's the only mural I've seen by this artist, usually collages, as you'll see in the rest of this post.

C'est la seule murale que j'ai vue de cet artiste, généralement il s'agit de collages comme vous le voir dans la suite de ce post.

Most of the Ax's collages were in the Park Burdeau, a tiny park wedged between Burdeau Street and the Croix-Rousse slope in Lyon. Lots of collages on the surrounding walls.
La plupart des collages de Ax se trouvaient dans le Jardin Burdeau, un tout petit parc coincé entre la rue Burdeau et la pente de le Croix-Rousse à Lyon. Beaucoup de collages sur les murs qui l'entourent.

Ax Creart
It's not always easy to see the collages of Ax, like this little crab hidden behind a weed on one of the Croix-Rousse staircases. This Lyon-based artist describes himself as a spreader of smiles and generator of positive vibes (source Instagram). It's true that his big-eyed characters put a smile on your face as soon as you spot them, like this funny frog in Parc Burdeau.
Ce n'est pas toujours évident de voir les collages de Ax, comme ce petit crabe caché derrière une herbe dans un des escaliers de la Croix-Rousse. Cet artiste lyonnais se définit comme un diffuseur de sourire et générateur d'ondes positives (source Instagram). Il est vrai que ses personnages aux gros yeux mettent un sourire sur votre visage dès que vous les apercevez comme au Parc Burdeau avec cette drôle de grenouille.

During my stay in Lyon in June last year, I spotted two stencils by the artist Nô (see the other on StreetArt #766). I don't have much information on this artist, but (s)he often use children's heads to underline the social, ecological or geopolitical problems shaking our planet. Unfortunately, there's no shortage of subject matter these days.
Lors de mon séjour à Lyon en juin de l'année dernière, j'ai pu apercevoir deux pochoirs de l'artiste Nô (voir l'autre sur StreetArt #766). Peu d'informations sur cet(te) artiste, mais il s'agit souvent de têtes d'enfant pour souligner les problèmes de société, écologiques, ou géopolitiques qui secouent notre planête. Malheureusement, cela ne manque pas de sujet ces temps-ci.
Brusk & Georges De Loup
In the Grande Montée, there was this magnificent rose by Georges De Loup, an artist who only wants to paint love with hearts and roses. A little further down is Brusk aka Cédric Kozluk, an artist born in Lyon in 1976, active in StreetArt since 1991 ( bybrusk.com). This mural with faded colors and tags dates back a few years, and a few months after my visit, he decided to make a new version, which you can see on his Instagram.
Dans la Grande Montée, il y avait cette magnifique rose de Georges De Loup, artiste qui ne veut peindre que l'amour avec des coeurs et des roses. Un peu plus bas, il s'agit de Brusk aka Cédric Kozluk, artiste né à Lyon en 1976, actif dans le StreetArt depuis 1991 (voir bybrusk.com). Cette murale date de quelques années, quelques mois après mon passage, il a décidé de faire une nouvelle version, à voir sur son Instagram.

I'm ending this series on StreetArt in Lyon with this work by Lasco, an artist from Lyon who mixes StreetArt and Prehistory. I like the style and especially the drawings that are usually found at the bottom of poop like this one by Lascaux.

Je termine cette série sur le StreetArt à Lyon avec cette oeuvre de Lasco, artiste lyonnais qui mélange le StreetArt et la Préhistoire. J'aime bien le style et surtout retrouver ces dessins qui généralement se trouve au fond des crottes comme celle de Lascaux.
