Hi all 👋🏻
Today I want to share with you some #StreetArt that I found in San Pedro de Alcantara, Spain 🇪🇸 when I visited this village to document the peculiar and unique bridge 😊 You can see here!
I didn’t expect a large mural to be part of this park, but I was glad I found it.
Photographs are all taken with my iPhone on 22 May 2022.
The first photo will be my entry into the “CCC's Street Art Contest #95” hosted by @digi-me
Thank you @trincowski, @heroldius, @tobetada and @arcange and many more for supporting this contest!

Let’s have a look at what I found in San Pedro 😊
Sardines with their reflections in the water…
As it is rather large, I show you here only part of it, and more will follow in the other photographs below.
Artists: CURRO LEYTON
Location: Boulevard park in San Pedro de Alcantara, Spain
Title: ’La Sardiná’
Created 2021
6 x 70 meters
Leyton’s website: Can be found here!
Source newspaper!
This newspaper wrote the following about this work:
(Translated by Google translate for you)
”The Mayor's Office of San Pedro Alcántara renovated one of the walls of the boulevard with a work of marine inspiration.
'La Sardiná', by the local artist Curro Leyton, will seek to pay tribute, through a 'pop art' style that modernises it and makes it more contemporary, to one of the main manifestations of the gastronomic culture of the province.
The artwork was created on a total area of about 420m2, 6 metres high and 70 metres long in one of the busiest sites in San Pedro Alcántara.
It is a tribute to a tradition that all locals carry in their blood and for which they are also recognised.”
Let me show you more of it. 😊
As I walk down the bridge I walked on, on the side through a children's play area… I saw something…
As we came closer… yes, I see a #mural.
Peeking around the corner I found lots of SARDINES.
Walking further…
Passing by the colourful fish 🐟 😎
They look pretty cool and still in good shape, especially the bit under water.
Looking back.
In front of me… look at that great #reflection in the water!
And what do I see here… do you see it? 😉
I think mister seagull got confused hahahaha 🤣😂🤣
I see now the artist signature and the year he painted it. And the bridge and stairs going over.
Another part… it goes further.
The other corner behind the foot bridge.
Closer by… I love the reflection of the fish in the water 🥰
On the bridge looking back… see how long this mural is?
What a great colourful addition to this park.
That’s all for todays #StreetArt post. Until the next one! 👋🏻😎
Hope you enjoyed my photos of the #Spanish #StreetArt finds in San Pedro de Alcantara.
Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.
Have a great day all 😎

I love the colorfulness of the mural. It looks perfect for the environment.
Good morning, Jackie.☕️😊
Happy day!☀️😄
Thank you so much @coquicoin 😁
Good morning, enjoy your day 👋🏻☀️💃🏻
It sure fits in so well!
You are welcome 😊🤗
👋🏻😁☀️💃🏻
What is amazing to see in these pictures of yours is the time and effort spent to make their towns look beautiful... we are a long way with that in so much of my town....
Thanks, yes it is so great to see that the towns and cities around here do take care of their surroundings.
But do keep in mind it is tourist hotspot hahaha so they need too (in a way) other wise they loose the tourists. Go inland into the campo and it looks so different.
Indeed. We have that dichotomy as well.
Indeed.
Very cool and long wall. But I think it's the sardines that want to eat the seagull 😀 Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
Thanks @hive-184784 😁
Hahaha yep… probably that way around 🤣🤣🤣 fly away sea gull, before they get ya hahaha
You are welcome, happy to share and be here 👋🏻😎
Enjoy this Tuesday!
What a fun piece! The fact that it is fish and done right on the water, with the reflection? So very cool! This was a great find!
Thanks, Denise 😁👋🏻
Yes, it all made the art come together… it worked on so many levels. I like finds like this.
Have a wonderful Tuesday 🤗😊
It is a cracking mural Jackie.
It is also very appropriate, I used to love having the grilled sardines when at the beach:)
It sure is @tengolltodo 😎
Yes, espetos… nom nom love them too, but hubby is not a fan of fish. So we don’t visit fish restaurants/ chiringuitos often.
Have an awesome day further 👋🏻☀️
That's a very cool piece of art.
Sardines in Sardinia - fitting lol
I really like the colors.
Thank you so much @leaky20 😁 the brightness and colours made it so much fun to look at 😎
I love that mural especially with the reflections, but even without them it would be cool so colorful and fun
It is a pretty cool and large mural. You are right, even without the reflections it would already be great. Now they give it that something extra 😉 love when artists think outside the box together with designers of the park. It so works in that spot.
Thanks for visiting @tattoodjay 👋🏻😁 have a great Monday ☀️
OHh for sure it works brilliantly, its out of the box as you say and I love when cities embrace art like this
Most welcome and you to have a great day
Thank you so much @tattoodjay 😁
Hope more cities will embrace art 🤞🏻🤩
Most welcome and I think slowly more cities around the world are embracing art
Bit by bit… luckily 😁
I like the reflection of the painting on the water as well Jackie, very colorfully painted, loving the environment at well, spick and span.
Thanks @joetunex 😁 it speaks so much more… with the water. In many different ways actually.
It is a beautiful park. This is where that bridge was with the wave 🌊 in it…
All was just nicely kept. All ready for the summer ☀️💃🏻🌴
