Hi all ππ»
Today I want to share with you some more StreetArt finds in Paris. This time we go to the 10th Arr. ~ France π«π·
I found something entirely different than the normal graffiti / murals π I show you today a Bas-relief wall carving.
I visited this beautiful city beginning of the month of July 2022 as most know by now. And I just loved the amount of StreetArt I saw all around meβ¦ it was just amazing to say the least. π The most I ever saw in one place. So you will see StreetArt from all over Paris in the next weeksβ¦ stay tuned! I will, going forward, mix it up again with other places.
The first photo will be my entry into the βCCC's Street Art Contest #103β hosted by @digi-me
Thank you @trincowski, @heroldius, @melinda010100, @ecency, @tobetada and @arcange and many more for supporting this contest!
βΌοΈIf you want to know more about this contest: have a look at @digi-me βs POST HERE!βΌοΈ
Photographs in this post I took on my iPhone on 3 July 2022
Letβs have a look at what else I found in Paris.
Artist: ALEXANDRE FARTO aka Vhils
Title: Part of Scratching the surface
Location: Rue Ambroise ParΓ©, 10th Arr. in Paris
Work Created in 2019
This plaque with information states the following:
(I translated with Google translate for you)
βAlexandre Farto, better known as Vhils, first became known for his interventions in the urban space, in particular his large-format portraits carved on the walls in an approach questioning the role of architecture and the place of man in the urban environment.
For him, walls are not static and lifeless, on the contrary, they are organic surfaces that absorb what surrounds them and resonate with their environment. The successive layers that compose them preserve the memory of the places, the marks of history, and thus give each city and every quarter its particular character.
Proyecto Scratching the Surface, 2019
Bas-relief wall carving
Approx. 250 Γ 650 cm
Located near the LariboisiΓ¨re Hospital, the work carried out is part of his emblematic project entitled "Scratching the Surface", which has already led him to create large-format frescos on the walls of about thirty countries around the world.β
Closer look at his signature.
Beautiful detail of this work π₯°

wow this is incredible. IΒ΄ve seen such art before but this one looks amazing
It sure does @betterthanhome π I like it. Very cool to see from afar and close by.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful Wednesday ππ»π
Wow! The details are amazing! I have never seen anything like it. This makes the paint on the wall pale in comparison!
It is so great to see Denise. Something else than just paint. I like it a lot π₯°
I have seen another artist that creates such work. But he doesnβt use carving or a chisel. He uses dynamite, perfectly placed in very small amounts to create this on surfacesβ¦ also great to see. Canβt remember his name, but when I do, I let you know.
Have a lovely Wednesday @dswigle ππ»ππ€
Good morning! I'm enjoying this artwork over a cup of coffee now imagining I'm in Paris, being able to travel vicariously through your post.
That is something! The way he composed the artwork also speaks volumes.
Good afternoon @discoveringarni iβm doing the same, going over Hive with a cup of cappuccino in the morning hehehe π€
Glad you enjoyed this post and could imagine being there π₯°
He is great, love his work. It is truly something else.
