Good day dear people and welcome to an article about street art in germany.
But before it starts, what is street art?
The term includes various techniques, forms and objects of art in public space. In 1968, a very large wall painting was created in Hamburg, so it is now a protected monument.

After only individual artists have operated the street art painting, it became a movement from the year 2000.
In many German cities, the walls are decorated with colorful paintings, graffiti and creative ideas of artists. A very famous street artist is the "banana sprayer". This artist bears the name Thomas Baumgärtel and had already sprayed his first banana with graffiti in the early 1990s.

and now a bit of history...
Street art started in West Berlin, where street art became bigger and bigger in the 1970s and got more and more attention. The countless street artists in Germany, made the cities of Germany with the help of their techniques and different styles very colorful. After the fall of the wall in Germany in 1989, the different styles of the east and world cultures exchanged. This resulted in a joint project of street artists, which received the NESCO "City of Design" award in 2006.

Through the various developments, this spread quickly and more and more street art designs were created.
