Hello everybody, delighted to participate again in CCC´s Art Contest.
The mural I present to you today is made by the Ukrainian artist duo INTERESNI KAZKI.
I found it in the town where I live, Sant Antoni, on the island of Ibiza. It is part of the series of murals, graffiti and other artistic expressions that took place in Ibiza during the Bloop Festival.
This fantastic mural refers to Charles Darwin's book "The Origin of Species". In the mural we see a monkey with Darwin's book wrapped in flames. It seems that the monkey does not agree with the theory of evolution and refuses to have anything to do with man.
It is understandable.
Surrealism and mysticism are always present in INTERESNI KAZKI's work, the characters in his works seem to come out of a fairy tale. In fact INTERESNI KAZKI means "interesting fairy tale" in the Ukrainian language.
