It's time for another Mexican Mural post, particularly since it's been another week, and there is another CCC's Street-Art Contest going on. Though I haven't been too active in seeking out new murals lately, I've been using pics I'd taken previously. In fact, there were so many different murals around the big metro station Chabacano in the center of Mexico City that they have lasted me this long. But I guess it should be enough by now too, so I'm glad I left this impressive one for last.
Though the angle is a bit weird, due to the size of the image and the limited space on the otherwise wide sidewalk, the gigantic close-up view of this beautiful Latina is bound to make you stop in your tracks. The entire entry area of this side of the metro station is covered in a green background, evoking the impression of lush vegetation, including lots of pink flowers, and even a hummingbird.
The main artist credited with creating this amazing wall painting is Alter_OS, whom I've mentioned in relation to the first mural from this metro station I posted about. Above the images is a list of other names, tags, and social media links of other muralists who have contributed to this work of art.
Stunning work... Street Art likes narrow & dark alley 😀 Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
It's incredible the detail some artists can capture, even on a massive scale. I really like the one in the first photo, I can sense the emotion in the woman.
Exactly! Almost like a photography, except for it's painted. Wow!
Gorgeous! I am totally enamored with Mexican mural art. Have visited several of these places, and look forward to reading more of your posts!
