"Rheinau Tramway Stop" Street Art

This graffiti is also almost at my front door. In 2017, the Mannheim Rheinau station was renewed, completely overhauled and everything was painted white. However, the city was afraid that there are countless and unauthorized graffiti enstehen, For this reason, the idea of a graffiti came up, which should be designed by students of local schools. The students designed the graffiti in cooperation with a social worker, who is also a graffiti artist. Ideas from everyone were taken on board. This graffiti was created during art class and they were taught that there is a code of honor among sprayers that already existing graffiti is not sprayed.

Auch dieses Graffiti befindet sich fast an meiner Haustüre. 2017 wurde der Mannheimer Rheinau Bahnhof erneuert, komplett überholt und alles wurde weiß gestrichen. Jedoch hatte die Stadt angst das es Unzählige und unerlaubte Graffitis enstehen, Aus diesem Grund kam die Idee eines Graffitis auf, das von Schülern der ortsansässigen Schulen gestaltet werden sollte. Die Schüler entwarfen in Kooperation mit einem Sozialarbeiter, der auch Graffitikünstler ist, das Graffiti. Dabei wurden Ideen von allen ins Boot genommen. Dieses Graffiti enstand während des Kunstunterricht und ihnen wurde gelert das es ein Ehrenkodex unter Sprayern gibt, dass bereits bestehende Graffitis nicht besprayt werden.

it really is a good idea to have asked for help from the community in making these, our subways are also filled with local artists' renditions just so the walls wouldn't be littered with mindless graffiti 🙂 thank you for sharing about this from your hometown!

Here you go, happy to do it again and again. Yes so also the youth learns with what is to be observed and what is not allowed. In Mannheim, there is fortunately the graffiti park and the graffiti wall, where I also want to go.
