Greetings, friends. Once again, I'm sharing with you another artistic discovery on the streets of Medellín. This is one of the most beautiful murals I've been able to document. I even hesitated to prepare this work today; I wanted to share it later, because it fills me with nostalgia and meaning, but what isn't shared doesn't grow. So today, I'm showing you a piece of graffiti I titled: "CHILDHOOD - MEMORIES." I hope you like it and that it helps you take a moment to remember our childhoods.

I must say I'm always in my comfort zone when I'm looking for graffiti on the streets; I don't have to try too hard. Medellín is an urban art paradise, and before I know it, the corners are filled with new graffiti. This one was done on the murals at the University of Fine Arts; I recently documented a work on their walls. This area is home to art students, so they do internships, and I love that.

This mural took my heart and my memories to my childhood, I have already shared on hive, that I am from an Amazonian area, I grew up among indigenous people, nature and rivers, and that is an image that I treasure with all my being, so you can imagine how I felt when I saw these images, because what you can see is what you can see in indigenous communities, children on the banks of the river, playing in its crystalline waters, playing with the fine sand of the rivers, playing among themselves with the simplest elements they can have at hand, they can spend days there inside, regardless of how cold or hot they may be, in that moment, the river is your owner and tells you what to do and until when to stay, these images are so perfect and meaningful, so taking pictures of them, and writing a little about this was like sailing on that little river.

I really value the evolution of graffiti, and this work is proof of that, beyond lines and sketches it seeks an authentic realism, you can walk through these streets and you can undoubtedly believe that what you see is true, not only because of the size in question, but because of its coloration, its lucidity and its harmony in full, I love that instinct of humanity, they also worked in a section of the work a layered effect, or repetition of the plane, this allows you to pay more attention to the work because it gives an incredible effect of mobility, you may hesitate to believe that it is a graffiti or a family painting, so I think it is a beautiful work, and it is worth approaching it, admiring it, and supporting it, because urban art is very worthwhile.

Thank you for reading my small work, thank you for supporting urban art and graffiti around the world. May my contribution help us learn about the wonders of Medellín, Colombia. Good luck to all the wonderful work you always present; let's continue the joy of writing about urban art. Thank you for your support.
