Skateboarding around town,
I stumbled upon an old abandoned mill building. I wanted to get off the main roads and find a spot more private so I turned into this empty parking lot. Apparently it was used as a parking lot for General Electric employees, but they have since closed down. It is now gated off so people can't drive down there. Once you get past the gate and get up closer, you can see an old brick building. There is graffiti covering both the walls and all the equipment left behind.
I found a staircase that I followed up behind the building but it lead up to train tracks and didn't look very safe so I turned back. I was hoping to find a way in behind there.
This is my favorite piece of Graffiti in the whole area. I am about 98% sure it says "JONES". Everything about it is well done. He has solid letters, a strong gradiant fill, and that background is amazing. The fact that he threw paint all over the wall and colored in bricks brang this piece to life. There's so much action in it. I was sure to take some closer photos of the doo-dads and fill.
There is more then just this building but I couldn't travel there yet given how much the grass/flowers have grown. There were bees everywhere pollinating the wild flowers. I will be sure to come back in the fall to photograph everything. Here is the rest of this building though. There is a ton of graffiti both good and bad. It's a shame how many burners had penises tagged over them though. I don't understand the mentality of that but it's prevalent anywhere there's graffiti.
Instead of coming back the same way I came, I found another trail that lead back AND wasn't covered in flowers. To my surprise there was another brick wall that lay in ruin covered in graffiti. The graffiti here though was not as good as some of the others.
I did happen to find this one throw up from a guy named "Kesto" though and it is fire. I couldn't get pictures though cause of the overgrowth. Soon fall will come and reveal the graffiti that lay underneath.
My adventure ended with a mushroom hunt. Mushrooms are one of my new favorite things to look for in nature. Once you start to notice all the different variety's around you, it sucks you in. Walking down my driveway I caught a picture of this mushroom bursting through the earth. I struggled to get a picture that did it justice. It has literally ripped up the earth around it.
Then I spotted another mushroom tucked away in between the roots of this giant tree.
Last but not least I found a RED mushroom. I thought this was probably the coolest mushroom I have seen so far!
That's a great way to end my wednesday walk. I hope to see you readers back here again next week.

Cool post 👍 Abandoned buildings are perfect to find some Street Art. Nice lettering. In which city is this old factory located ? New Hampshire ?
Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
Yeah! Forgot to mention this is in Somersworth, New Hampshire. I don't recognize the names but I am more familiar with Maine writers.
