I think a lot of people look down on blended whiskys, but there are some really good ones out there. The mystery behind this one is quite intriguing! Thanks for sharing it! I just had a dram of Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban on Friday night. That stuff is so good!

Don’t get me wrong… this is not a blended whisky, it is a single malt! But just like 90% of the single malts, they are blended searching the best possible taste!
I have seen the Glenmorangie around in the shops, but its price is something that sets me back a little. Maybe I will wait till I find it on discount. Cheers!
The bottle I got was about $70 USD. Which honestly isn't that horrible over here for a really good bottle of whisky, whiskey, or bourbon. I understand what you were saying now!
After a second look, I see that Quinta Ruban sorts like $55 here… I thought it was more expensive. Could give it a try soon!
I don't have a lot of experience with Scotch, I am more of a bourbon guy, but I liked that one.
