You are kindly invited to take part in TRAVEL CONTEST's theme today "Blue and Yellow" :)
Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, hopefully more people will be inspired, motivated and challenged to join this contest round!

A famous square with the bell tower in Bruges, Belgium. This was a drive back into the UK and I really wanted to stop at Bruges because of the movie "In Bruges". I did not regret it as every street had its own character, each building was unique. It felt like a movie set!
The image is at least 6 years old and of course, looks very different during the daylight. At dusk, the streetlights are adding a yellowish glow to almost everything. And the sky is too bright above the city full of light.
I love the historic center of Bruges, one of the most beautiful Belgian cities, I've been there :)

This first one ↑ Is a Hybrid Petunia (I'm pretty sure) in my niece's garden or deck↑
↓Again on my niece's deck, Impatiens and Marigolds↓
Here at my new home, which is 80 yrs old, the previous owners must have loved yellow,
because I have Daffodils and Crocus and Yellow Jessamine (no pics of those)
And for some Blue (here in my yard) there is this, I called it Mystery Plant, but
I've since been told it is a variety of Vinca, and is fairly invasive.
Well, that is my yellow and blue, I don't know how many is the limit, I have lots of Wisteria as well ha ha ha

The ones I grew up with had white and lavender flowers all on the same plant, and would overseed and spread like crazyThanks for the pizza @travelcontest. I get into arguments about that with my niece. She calls the flower that I grew up calling "periwinkle" a Vinca, which it is a variety of, but there are dozens of them.
I'd say, you're lucky to have all that! :)
By the way, I tried three times to plant them, took some from the forest but all those tries were unsuccessful so I gave up. I'll admire and enjoy them in the wild forest around.

My niece was here yesterday, and said the VERY invasive vine that I thought was yellow Jessamine, is another type of Vinca, she said this was Vinca MINOR, whereas the periwinkle and others are Vinca MAJOR.
I don't know where you live that they won't grow for you, here they are (or can be) a pest

A little taste of paradise in New Zealand, Abel Tasmen National Park. One of my favourite places on earth. Rented a 2 person ocean kayak and spent the day paddling along finding little beaches.
