Even though things are going very well in Dubai, it doesn't mean that a storm in the future can make them end up like they have in this video game lol
Spec Ops The Line is reminding me how beautiful and entertaining it can be, both for its generic gameplay of the military shooters of the early 2010s and for its aesthetics and landscapes
The latter is what has inspired me to make another gallery about the tragedy and how beautiful the city of Dubai is in this game
It has no right to be as good as it is, that is the truth not only with the wide and dark dungeons and abysses that we find in this title but also in the precise detail of some of these structures
Of course I haven't been able to take a photo of everything and not everything is as photogenic as I would like it to be, probably because I have a PC that's a potato and I have to run everything in graphics. media
But I'm pretty sure that with a more powerful computer this game would be a visual delight even after a decade of its release
.
Seeing the abyss that this city has become is as scary as it is shocking, and the game is very clever and makes us explore the city going from skyscraper to skyscraper through ziplines that give us a much better view of what the city has become
I've tried to do my best to take these screenshots, although the walker angle is not always pretty to see and this game has no possibility of a photo mode, I still think the ones that have come out are pretty decent
Visually the game is striking even today, not because it looks as realistic as life itself but because it knows how to generate atmosphere and knows above all how to take advantage of that atmosphere using both its story and its characters
So that makes me think that several of these photographs will be more impactful for you if you know the history of The Game at least a little, and you should because it is one of the shooters that I think best takes advantage of this facet so wasted by this genre of video games
Since when is the story important in a Shooter, it has never been like this and that is why Spec Ops is so heartbreaking, it is something sadder when we know the fact that its developers closed recently and the video game has practically disappeared from the digital scene
It didn't sell well either but this title has become something of a modern cult classic for many gamers and it's certainly had a bit of a resurrection these past few years especially with the online video community who have dedicated extensive theses covering its history
