Long time no posting here! Nothing better than being back playing a modern classic like The Messenger that I've been able to bring on other occasions, this as part of the weekly contest where we have to look for screenshots that are worthy of being on the PC's wallpaper.
And I tell you that this game has a lot of potential for that, you know that I really like pixel art and any type of media that represents this graphic style, but especially in video games because that is where it was born and where it continues to give joy, just check out some screenshots I took.
For those who don't know this game, it's a platform game that I discovered last year but that's been on the market for a while now. It takes inspiration from games like Ninja Gaiden to offer a platform experience where we have to have a lot of reflexes to overcome obstacles.
There are monsters that block our path as well as rooms that seem impossible to us but I think that is the beauty of this game, it is quite challenging if we compare it with the usual platforms, there is a lot of movement and we have to learn to use the controls in creative ways.
A lot of this game is in its gameplay but I also think the story deserves a few paragraphs to talk about how good I thought it was, the sense of humor, the connections it makes to other games from the same developer studio, I think it does a good job in that aspect and in many others where the platforms don't shine too much
Let's talk about the gameplay because it's the best thing about this game. At first, we'll be like in every game, learning what each thing works for and dying desperately against the weakest enemies, but that's the essence. We'll have to master the tools we have and the ones they give us later on to have any chance of completing the game.
It gets more interesting as you play, you find new tools as you go through the levels and these are very well integrated into the game, we will always be using them either to pass a room or to speed up our movement, and believe me that will be more useful to us forward
Each frame of this game is a work of art, besides being inspired by pixel art, the game has a mechanic where we change eras so we can see the designs in 8 bits and if we go through a portal that we can find in each area we can see everything in 16 bits, making there be more variety in all the scenarios.
I recommend you play it if you haven't already, I think you'll get a couple of surprises that I'm not going to mention here because it's a huge spoiler, but the game is bigger than it seems in many ways and it took me quite a while to complete it with everything it has to offer, so give it a chance and enjoy the view.
Finally, I want to announce my DELEGATION to the community. I will be posting here more often and I have always seen an active community in these spaces, so I would like to make the contribution with the HP that I frankly never use to vote. I hope you can get more out of it than I did and thank you for supporting the creators.
See you later! All screenshots are my own
Man! thank you very much for the support, we are glad to see you sharing your content in it, but I invite you to use other games that have another style of views as the other members who share in the community, because sometimes this style of video game has many limited things that allow you to see the beauty of everything in it, I am also a lover of pixel art games, but before the community, it is better to use another type of video game, of course if you do not have a powerful computer, do not worry, you can use other games where you can capture amazing things like GTA, Far cry and others that are low gamma.
