Potions, betrayals and illusions. First steps in Jotumhein.

Hello photo-gamers.

This time we will continue the story where we left off, right at the moment when Eivor, embodying Odin himself, would travel to Jotunheim. But things did not turn out as he thought, since the journey to Asgard is done through quests and to get to Jotunheim he would have to do the same. At least that's what the seer of the camp, who was next to me when I woke up, told me.

This time, the ingredients for the new potion were not to be found around the hut. The new ingredients were literally on the other side of the map. To be more precise, the location the seer gave me led to a hut that hid the entrance to a cave.

Once I entered the cave, I realized that finding the herbs was not going to be easy, as I had before me a complex system of rock labyrinths and several puzzles. But nothing is impossible and, little by little, I gathered the necessary ingredients.

To get out of the cave I had to solve another series of puzzles to get through an area known as Kent's maze, which was passed by jumping over moving stones that I dragged all over the place.

Returned to the seer's hut, I witnessed her prepare the new potion and, when I placed it next to the old one, it had a different color. But just as I had done before, I drank the potion and fell into a dream full of visions.

When I woke up, I was in a completely new place and almost entirely covered. It was evident that I was in Jotunheim, the land of the frost giants. After taking a look around, I could appreciate that this new place, despite its rustic appearance, also had its beauties.

But it was no time to be a tourist, since my goal was to find the witch and for that I asked a citizen to tell me the place where her hut was. And although I said there was no time for sightseeing, on the way I saw a wedding altar hidden with an illusion and curiosity got the better of me, so I had to keep an eye on it.

Further on I found the huge tree where the witch had built her hut. As it could not be otherwise, it was also hidden by an illusion that broke when looking from a certain angle.

Upon entering the hut, I found the witch accompanied by another ice giant who introduced us to her and then left. Talking to the witch, I tell her about my interest in learning about her magic, to which she replies that she needs some herbs to prepare a potion that will open my third eye to the arcane arts.

The ingredients were deep in the earth behind a circular waterfall. As could be imagined, at the entrance to the vat there was also an illusion that breaks looking down from above.

Beyond the entrance I found another cave system that interacted directly with the roots of the world tree. Among the roots, flints and water springs I found the herbs needed for the witch's potion.

With all the ingredients in hand, I return to the witch's hut, who makes use of them to prepare the potion. After drinking the potion, she began to ask me questions, which I was forced to answer truthfully. Just when I realize that the potion was something else, Loki's traitor comes out of hiding and the witch Angrboda puts a dagger to my neck.

There were not many words that we exchanged, as I immediately lost consciousness, thus temporarily postponing this story for a future occasion. To be continued.

Jotunheim looks as beautiful as it is dangerous. Thing is, I'm unable to play God of War Ragnarök now so I guess its time to get taste of those realm playing this game, lol. Did you meet Thor as well? I don't understand where they're going with AC concept. Different realms now? For real?

I was confused at first too, but it seems that this story arc is very important to the development of the story. And yes, I saw Thor with his famous hammer.
