The story of A Plague Tale Requiem begins with Chapter 1 Under a New Sun. After an apparent first scare, this prologue will begin, which works as a tutorial to learn how to move, use stealth. This first part will teach us how to move, having to follow Hugo down the hill until we take his hand
Once you take his hand, the next objective will be activated. As soon as Lucas starts counting, you have to get out of his line of sight and follow the stealth tutorial.
Basically, you have to keep Amicia crouched and not sprint, while always putting a corner in between, until Amicia makes a comment about it.
Now you have to go after Lucas and wait for him to stop.
You can go under the broken walls, or jump through the gaps in the walls.
When he stops, you can approach him and press the contextual button to scare him. Your next objective will be to go towards the tower that can be seen on the horizon
Go down the path until Hugo separates. After the conversation, continue down to reach the river.
Simply stay near the branch lying next to the river, the "border" of Hugo's kingdom.
Now the slingshot tutorial will take place, where you will be taught how to handle your basic long-distance weapon. What you need to do is hit each and every one of the pine cones that float in, before they pass you by.
If you manage to hit all the pine cones, when the next sequence ends
you will get the Perfect Shot Trophy/Achievement.
To continue, you must follow the riverbank, there is not much more to say. Simply go straight ahead and climb the ledges you find along the way
Shortly after the second ledge, you will pass under a tree and the last objective of this part will be activated. Now run to the castle gate, which will be closed. You will see where to go just to the left, through the opening made by the broken gate.
Go up the stairs and go forward a little to reach the second section of the chapter. This second section takes a while to "officially" activate, but the next objective actually belongs to it and not to the first part.
Beehives
Go through the room until you come out into the courtyard. Continue towards the back to cross the fence next to the roof.
Keep going until you can go down a ledge, at which point you'll see a cutscene and... er... "something" will happen. No, it's nothing good, how the hell do you expect anything good to happen with the way this place looks? As soon as you regain control of Amicia, run, holding down the sprint button. Ignore the door, it's locked. Just when you reach it, look to the right, sneak through a window and move forward to a courtyard, a door and pass between some shelves.
When you do, you'll automatically crouch in the grass: don't move. More people will appear in a moment and they mustn't see you.
Wait for the bad guys to move away, and move forward through the tall grass. At some point, Hugo will mention a window in the thatched house. Wait for the masked men to be occupied and enter where Hugo pointed.
Once inside, you will see a door on the right. You need to open it but not go through it. Hide by the door frame and wait for the masked man to go to the back.
When the guy walks away, go over to the low wall and you will be taught how to throw rocks to create a distraction. Go behind the guy in red when he comes to look at the toolbox, and hide in the tall grass next to the other bandit. The guy will stop at the back on the right and you can climb up onto the wooden scaffolding on the left side.
Once up there, you have to crawl under the bookshelf and wait for the masked men to move away. When you get out, follow the instructions to distract the enemy and go past to the next area of tall grass and go down the hill, where you will see the red-hooded man and two more
Keep going down and Hugo will point to the vase on the left side, which you can use to distract the red-clothed guy and get past
You have to throw it behind him and, as soon as he turns around, go past and crawl under the wagon that was next to him. Keep going until the door, which will be closed. You must interact with the gap to the left of the door, in the same wall, to be able to continue
Once you go through the door, simply move forward until you see a cutscene and reach the third section of chapter 1.
Dreams of another place
Once you have control of Hugo, you must follow the bird that has appeared. No further explanations are needed, it is simply following it until you see a cutscene and return to your sister.
Lies
This section is also very short. Just wait until you have control of Amicia, wait for the enemies to retreat, and then head through the tall grass up the hill. Be careful not to run, because there are more enemies. Keep going until you drop down a ledge, and you will be in another area of tall grass.
When you get there, you should look to the right: there is a toolbox. Always in the tall grass, throw a rock to distract the enemy, go behind him and move forward. Be careful, wait for him to turn around to continue down or he will discover you. There is another enemy on the path, and a toolbox nearby, throw a rock at him to be able to advance, he will discover you as you go down, don't worry.
Scorching Fire
For obvious reasons, you must run through the wheat fields. You must go to the house at the back and sneak in through the window.
After the cutscene, climb up to the attic, crouch to get through the broken wall, and then drop back down to ground level. The tutorial will take place, where you'll be taught how to fight enemies, both counterattacking and facing them head-on, throwing rocks with your slingshot, and then finishing them off. Keep going down and eliminating enemies, until you pass through some branches blocking a path between the rocks, just after the last two enemies in the area. You'll have to finish off an enemy from behind.
From here, simply run and shoot with your slingshot at the enemy who will threaten the life of the woman you must save. Chapter 1 will end shortly after, giving way to Chapter 2: Newcomers
