After checking out a car that shouldn't have been in this game at all for its speed and braking system, I checked out this speed beast that just made my day with its speed. I tried a special event driving this car which was all about showing off the speed as it was a straight track with a single lap.
So today, it's about the BMW X5 M 2011.
My character started showing off the car on the stage and I was busy capturing some good frames. I didn't show photos from the stages before as I don't use the photo mode there but I see I can get cool photos of the car from there.
These are with the photo mode where I just can't go anywhere as I wish to. The photo mode feature should've been easier with more access. I can't try the angles I want which is the most frustrating part about the photo mode or maybe I just didn't understand how to do them.
It was a 1 mile-straight track on an airstrip. Runways are especially hard-wearing, so even without maintenance, it survived pretty well and I had to race 12 racers to get to the only checkpoint this event had.
I was both surprised and scared seeing all those supercars around my car. There was another racer who entered the event with the same car as me. I just knew I'd end up with the last position against all these supercars.
As soon as the race started, I started driving without even thinking of pressing the brake button and you could see all the racers were on one line as the track was straightforward.
We passed half of the distance already and I was still at the back? And I was saying it's a speed beast? Well, that's not my car, this is the other car I mentioned about.
This was my car and you can see I was ahead of all of the racers who were racing against me. I was surprised to see this car's speed. I didn't notice the abandoned airstrip as well that looked quite good.
And yeah, I finished the race first in 23 seconds.
I unlocked this side event there that's titled Aerodromo Drag Strip Pro and I was glad to understand that I was gonna fly now.
The car looked so cool when it was in the air, though I could make it fly higher by reversing the car a bit and using more ground to speed up before taking the jump.
I could stop the car hardly from getting drowned in a river after it landed. I crossed 458.58 feet in the air and got the Runway Novice tag.
