I continued my adventure in Yamate, a place where, at the start of the game, I got defeated for the first time because my level was still low. Back then, I was easily beaten by enemies marked as stronger and more dangerous. But now, I’m more experienced, my level is higher, and my weapons and armor are much better than when I was just at level 1. So, I felt more confident returning to claim my karma points from the enemies that defeated me before.
I moved carefully, taking down enemies stationed at higher spots first—usually the ones with guns or long-range weapons like bows. Using stealth, I could easily defeat them. I tried to eliminate as many guards as possible silently, but eventually, I got spotted. A dog found me and started attacking. I lured the dog away from the other enemies’ view range.
After defeating the dog, I resumed my stealth approach. Then, I came across an enemy wearing a straw hat, sitting casually by a fire. I tried to assassinate him, but it didn’t work. Turns out, he was a mini-boss for that area.
Before battling this tougher enemy, I switched to armor with higher defense to increase my survival chances. The fight was intense. At first, I used a bigger sword, a saber. My fighting style changed drastically when using it, jumping high and swinging the saber down hard to slash the enemy. But the saber’s movements were too slow, so I switched back to dual blades. Even though their damage was lower, their speed let me take down the enemy more efficiently.
Later, as I approached the harbor, I faced another strong enemy—this time, one with a shield. After repeatedly attacking, the shield finally broke! Luckily, I managed to capture the moment when my sword shattered it. It turned out that this shielded enemy held the key to a locked storage room I’d found earlier. After defeating the keyholder, I rushed to the storage room near the main entrance.
Inside, there was all sorts of great loot, but what made me happiest was getting the Wandering Samurai Kimono, an all-black kimono. Now, I looked way cooler! After restoring public order in southeastern Yamate, I unlocked a black market NPC selling ninja outfits. Now, I need to find more cats to get special coins to buy items from the black market.
I continued exploring and, at one point, stumbled upon enemies harassing traders on the road. Without wasting time, I took them all down. The NPC trader I saved even gave me a discount as a thank-you.
Finally, I arrived at Juniteh Shrine. From afar, I saw an enemy guarding the area. This enemy had a really impressive sword-fighting style. Even though it was just one enemy, I ended up using all my meds during the fight. The enemy could infuse fire into their sword, and the effects were incredible to watch. Despite that, I managed to defeat them and claim the valuable items inside the shrine.
