Its time to do what Sarah has been planning for a long time. She did sound cheerful when asked Deacon to meet her. She said all she needed was the DNA sequencer that she got already and she was ready to test what she's been working on but she needed a live newt for that.
Deacon got surprised to know that Sarah wanted a Newt alive for this test as running the test on something dead wouldn't work. Then Sarah gave Deacon a special tranquilizer that should help him knock the newt out long enough to bring it to her.
I went out of the camp and Sarah now told me that she didn't just need a random newt, it should be a specific one. Sarah told me there's an old resort at the South, just off Rim Drive which is now home of an entire colony of newts.
I tried to jump the gap of the broken bridge there but I didn't drive enough for that so I fell and had to start over.
Kouri called me before that to tell me the Colonel was looking for me as Weaver has completed his work on the special Molotov.
I went back to get a boost for jumping on the bridge this time and it went well though I abandoned the mission and had to try the third time from start over.
After reaching the spot, Sarah told me to find a girl newt wearing a red shirt whom I'd have to bring for her. I thought I'd go silent but I wasn't feeling so patience today so I opened fire.
I noticed a bunch of newts on the roof of that house and when I was looking for the specific one after shooting a lot of them, some of them were trying to attack them so I shot them down as well.
There I found the specific one but she had some more newts around her so I tried to shot the others down before shooting her using the tranquilizer gun. But when I was shooting the other random newts, the specific one jumped on me and caught a bullet and died.
I didn't have to start over from the beginning but I had to shoot all the newts again as it restarted from the moment when I reached the spot.
I found a NERO injector inside the house that I used to increase my stamina.
Then I shot the specific newt using the tranquilizer gun when she was eating another newts body. Then I had to kill all the remaining newts around before collecting this one.
Deacon met Kouri at the gate after taking the newt there and said it pissed all over his bike. Deacon had to tell Kouri that Sarah needed a live test subject. Then Kouri warned Deacon saying the Colonel doesn't allow for fraternization between enlisted men and officers as he thought they two were becoming closer.
Deacon took the newt inside Sarah's lab where she used the dosage but the newt died in a very short time. Deacon thought it worked as it died fast but Sarah seemed sad.
Then Deacon understood Sarah was trying to cure it and not kill it. Sarah was giving up but Deacon gave her hope and said he'd help her with this work. Then Sarah said they'd ride North escaping from the camp so Deacon left the room asking Sarah to get ready.
