I never thought I'd have to walk into such a nasty sewer in my life and now to survive in this game, I had to run though the sewers where there were hundreds of zombies along with crushers and bursters.
Before going in into the sewers, I found this workbench there in the sewer zone right after coming out of Bel-Air through the home of Patton. There I repaired my weapons and I really admired the game developers to keep a workbench at this point as I really needed to go prepared in the sewers.
After repairing some weapons, I was walking inside the creepy and nasty sewers when I could hear zombies shouting from a far. Ryan called Dr. Reed to let him know he was going alone through the sewers and the doctor suggested him to head for the Sterling Hotel on Ocean Avenue after reaching Santa Monica.
Then suddenly I noticed this burster coming towards me and as soon as she got close to me, I understood she was about to blast so I ran to escape her and I heard the blast sound. I returned and noticed her body pieces.
Now while I had to follow the signs to the Venice storm tank, I noticed a zombie was swimming in the water there and was trying to get to me. It lost a leg so it was kind of crawling to me. I maimed her and smashed the whole head.
That's the gate to Venice storm tank that I needed to unlock but I still didn't know how to but I had to raise this sluice gate however I could.
Then I somehow found a key to this room where I had to rebalance pressure of 3 vat. I had to manipulate the water valves there to rebalance these pressures and after rebalancing one of them, I had to find a valve wheel which was missing from a valve there.
I had to lower the caustic pipe and wash the caustic gas away from that room as the valve wheel was waiting for me there and then I took it, I attached it to the valve and I rebalanced the other two vats as well.
The gate of Venice storm tank was opened and that's when a bunch of slumbers, runners, bursters came out of that gate or maybe from around the sewers to get me and I just had to defend myself from their attacks and I slayed all of them with pleasure.

I had to wade trough the filth to reach the storm tank and I noticed canals filled with caustic that I could use as a weapon. Look I kicked a zombie in there and it died, not only died, it lost the whole body in a moment.
I'm not sure but those are probably melted fleshes of zombies that the living peoples flushed down to the sewers according to what Ryan was sayin to himself.
I had to another valve wheel to attach to a caustic pipe valve and disable the caustic production which I had to do when there were bunch of zombies trying to get me and I almost died there but fortunately, I didn't.
After reaching this spot, I found two caustic pukers in a locked place. I had to take them down from above when they kept throwing the caustics towards me. I was using throwables to take them down as it was not safe to get close to them in open as what they throws, are dangerous.
I never thought I'd have to get down there but to find a circuit breaker to power a gate, I had to jump in there and the good thing was that I already took down the caustic pukers. The circuit breaker was not there on the ground but I had to use that path to get to another room.
I was surprised to get in there as there were flames on the air and I had to deactivate the gas pipe lever there to stop the flame so I could get to the other side.

I found the circuit breaker and when I was returning, I saw a shadow of something big was coming towards me and I noticed its a crusher. I used the rifle to crush the crusher and he couldn't even get close to me.
After opening the gate using the circuit breaker, I walked forwards holding a battery so I could throw it on some zombies I might meet in my following journey and it looked like I reached the heart of the darkness where I had to open the giant gate to hell.

Aw but how unpleasant that moment must have been, seeing so many bodies melted by the chemicals in that place is a little nauseating, but how great to see you with new weapons, now yes, it's time to fight from afar.
