Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This Week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography Community is Cinematic Shots and I am here to share with you some of the shots from Uncharted 4: A Thief's Legacy. It has some of the best action scenes and the whole cinematography is top quality.
Let me kickstart it with a shot from one of the chase scenes from the game where Nathen is clinging on to a rope while the rope is attached to a vehicle going on top of the bridge. Nathen had to swing through this sequence almost crashing into the scaffolding and other things. It was intense and fun.
The next shot took me many retries but I think it came out fine. I wanted to make sure the viewer can feel the intense gun fight scene by just looking at this photo.
The soldiers here were throwing everything they had, from grenades to shotguns. They would destroy the wooden covers that Nathen used to hide behind.
It was a tough position but nothing you cannot manage with patience and good timing...right? Love the way the bullets go over our hero moments after the grenade exploded, throwing the debris in the air.
Exploration and jumping from ledges to ledges are a massive part of the game and many of those jumps don't result in perfect grips, and sometimes Nathen is about to fall. He does fall at some, but grabs the one underneath him. Let me share with you one of the close calls as Nathen successfully hangs from a ledge using just his finger tips. Super human abilities...right?
This game also does a great job of revealing huge landscapes and structures through the use of clever camerawork. One such view was when we found the lost city of Libertalia and both the brothers just came out from a cave to see the following beautiful cinematic shot of the ruins.
Nathen loves to swing his ropes and get from point A to B in style. Look at the following shot where you can see Nathen trying to swing and reach the other side while the mysterious mountain is in the background. I call this mountain the 'hawk mountain' because of how the top looks like a head of a hawk. Do you see the resemblance too?
As I said earlier, the game tells a compelling story while looking so gorgeous at the same time and feels good to play in many departments. This is not easy to achieve in any game. Look at those huge hallways filled with details. Every scene is filled with impressive models and historical lessons. I am not sure how accurate they are with that part of the game, but know how to hook their audience.
Character models are flawless as well and the cutscenes look amazing too. I won't spoil the game for you by telling what is going on in this next shot. But that was a big reveal and plot twist in the story that I never saw coming.
The next shot is heavily edited in photo mode. For starters, I used a filter to make the atmosphere look much more dramatic than it was. I spent some time finalizing the composition with the right framing, and even though the photo looks a bit too messy with multiple subjects trying to grab your attention at the same time. I think it turned out great. What do you think?
Let me know which one was your favorite. I love the first and the last shot the most. Play games, have fun and don't forget to share the shots with us!
Thanks for reading.

Bro, these are the most cinematic shots, particularly the violent firefight sequence. The scene in which you took shelter while bullets were raining down from the enemy gun was simply breathtaking.
Glad you liked it. I had to take multiple shots for that perfect timing.
I have seen very beautiful landscapes that you can capture in this game, and really they are all very beautiful and each author has something different to share, what a beautiful captures.
The art direction team did an amazing job in this game. Every scene was a beautiful painting.
I loved this game when it first came. I ended up getting the collectors edition. Can't believe its already been 10 years since the game came out.
That's so cool... what other goodies did you get with that edition? Did you make a post on it?
I haven't made a post on it yet, but I will soon. It's been quite some time since I've last opened it. So I don't really remember what came with it. 😅
