Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
I was browsing the Steam Autumn Sale and saw theHunter: Call of the Wild (base game) at a 90% discount along with most of the DLC maps up to 50% discounts. This was a good time to buy the Emerald Coast, Australia map. But sadly this is a relatively new map and one of the best in the game, so it saw only a 35% discount. However, that was enough for me to grab it. I was thinking of getting it for a long time. Joining a multiplayer server and relying on connections and servers is not the best thing, especially in this buggy multiplayer.
So today, I will show you some of the shots I took during my first couple of hours of messing around after owning this map. They spawned me in an outpost which I already unlocked. I thought all my multiplayer exploration progress would be reset if I bought the map but that wasn't the case.
It was a beautiful sunny morning with some clouds here and there. However, it didn't take enough time for the clouds to start rising and clouding the sun.
I was introduced to the owners of this private property. This is such a massive piece of land, these people have to be rich man. I was tasked to go to an outpost so me and Sheru set out to get there.
I loved this silent road with a few trees on each side of it. This gave me an idea for an interesting composition using my ATV.
I left some open space on both sides of the trees to convey the idea of being lonely and empty in this place. But that was far from the truth. This map is filled with wildlife and you can find a lot of varieties of animals here.
I stopped near a lake to take some pictures of that half-dried lake bed. This southern part of the map has a lot of small streams and shallow lakes which are good hotspots of animal activities. I wasn't expecting animals here because of the loud noise my ATV was making that spooked every nearby animal and they ran away.
When we got close to the watch tower, we ditched our ATV and started walking. This time I was looking for animals to hunt. I saw a funny road sign too.
There are some Bantengs in this map which can be quite deadly to both humans and their belongings. This reminded me of some of my unfortunate incidents...lol.
The view from the top of the tower was amazing. You could see miles in each direction. I captured a shot with the shadow of the tower as well. This was still early in the morning and the shadows were quite long.
The next quest was to go to the nearby outpost. I don't get why we have to do this again even though I have the outpost unlock. But wait... this just came to my mind. They wanted me to hear all those dialogues and tell the history of this place. Nothing super important and it serves as a tutorial for the game as well perhaps. In any case, I could easily go to the outpost by quickly travelling there.
Or I could just jump off this high tower and die. The respawn point would be the nearest outpost too. You can guess which option I choose. 3...2...1... and Liftoff Crashlanding!
Outposts are pretty unique here as well. Some of them are temporary shelters and tents. One of them is even just a trailer in the middle of the woods.
I hunted for a while after going to the outpost. I took down three Fallow Deers from the same group using a bow and arrows. That is not a small feat, I had to be patient there.
That part of the reserve was brimming with life! Hundreds of different varieties of plants and trees. Deers and feral pigs roaming around everywhere. But the thick vegetation made it challenging too.
We were tired after this long session of exploring and hunting. Even Sheru looked tired to me. Or he is sad because I forgot to give him some cookies again! Whoops.

But what realistic landscapes!!! I had never seen a game like this, I notice that it is also simulation but hunting, looks very impressive each and every one of the landscapes and go that make me feel relaxed just by watching it, I imagine how it would be playing it.
