Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
This Week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography Community is Sunrises And/Or Sunsets. It had been a long since I participated in this contest. But I couldn't resist not writing a post for one of my favourite themes. I love to take photos of sunrises and sunsets in theHunter: Call of the Wild. I played more to get some nice shots from multiple reserves.
Let me start with a chilly morning on the Alaskan map. Even though the sky had a few clouds at sunrise, it quickly changed, and the clouds gathered over the horizon and took over the sun, too.
It was still quite bright and warm, but the snowfall started soon, and the crimson leaves on these plains started to get covered in white snow.
In just five minutes everything was covered with snow and the entire valley couldn't be recognised. I went to another part of the map to see if the snowfall was happening there too. Well, it was no more snowing here but the white landscape told me that snow fell this morning here too. It was still cloudy and the sun was trying its best to peek through these clouds.
I changed the map and went to a warmer place. My destination was the dense forests in the eastern part of Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve. It was a beautiful morning with the sun shining bright.
This reserve has beautiful forests and the autumn season makes it quite interesting. I tend to go towards a water body to take some good shots of the reflection of the sun. Today, the sun was bright and made this beautiful morning even more serene.
But I think I had a curse attached to me today. Even here the climate started to change slowly. Clouds started to form and come from all over the place trying to capture the bright sun.
I was climbing a hill when the weather started to change dramatically. I couldn't even finish this little trek and the sky was engulfed by dark clouds. The sun wasn't shining as bright as it was a few minutes ago.
Maybe a change of location will help break this curse? With that in mind, I switched to another similar-looking map, the Layton Lake District. I changed the time just before sunrise and waited for the sun to come up on the horizon.
The sunlight was already falling on the big mountains in the distance. But it took some time for it to reach here. I shot down a Black Bear in the meantime. He was drinking close to the lakes. This time was a drinking time for them and there were a lot of them. But they all got spooked and ran away once I took down one of them.
It was another beautiful morning. Love the sunrises in this game. It is worth filling up one-tenth of your SSD for this, lol. But Sheru didn't seem to agree with me on that.
There is an old railway bridge in this reserve. This region is called the Balmont Railroad. One of the best sunrises can be experienced from the top of this bridge.
I was a bit late reaching there and the sun was already quite high on the horizon. But regardless of that, it was such an amazing view.
I saw some bears drinking water in the distance. They were a bit far away. I killed one of them from here. They were at least 300 meters away from here. You can see it from the picture. It is quite a zoomed-in shot.
I shot the one who was close to the water. The other one ran away. I tried to shoot the other one too but I missed it. A running target from 300 meters is no joke.
I took some more shots from the top, this map has Lakes in its name because of hundreds of smaller lakes that formed due to receding water levels in the river.
Let me take you to another reserve. A wild Vurhongha Savannah. These plains are a treat to hunt in for players like me. Wide open plains with a lot of big animals including Lions. What else do you want to hunt...eh?
Sunrises and sunsets here are something special.
Look at how peacefully Sheru is sitting and following my orders. He is not the one to follow orders all the time, lol.
I have spent a lot of sunsets hunting in these plains. Unlike the last reserve, it has a limited number of lakes and you will find a lot of animal activities in these. Some of the animals travel a large distance to come and drink in these lakes.
But my favourite things to shoot in these maps are not the animals but the trees. I love the landscapes here and if the sun is close to the horizon, the warm light makes it ten times better.
There are some other maps which have beautiful sunrises like the Silver Peaks Ridge but I have shared a lot of shots from those already. I hope you like them. It took a lot of time and patience to take all of these shots from different reserves. Let me know, which ones are your favourite and why.
Thanks for reading.

if it's not because I have you in my feed, I don't notice this community dedicated to screenshots in videogames. I realize that not only I lost my original account (I still feel sad about that), but I also missed a lot of things while I was absent from the platform. What a great idea to create this community, it's a very good variant for all of us who are faithful to video game content.
With respect to your content I can only say that the screenshots you show are incredibly beautiful, if you allow me I would like your permission to use some of them as wallpaper, they are really amazing.
I am glad you liked them. It is fine to use any of them for your wallpaper. (Let me know if you want an uncompressed version of them, I think Hive platforms compress these pictures which makes them lose a bit of quality. I might be wrong about this)
I would be happy about that and about the loss of quality I think it is something that always happens, hopefully this is not the case.
