The year is 2024 and Scrooger has decided that he is working way too much... So he is taking some time for himself now and then. How? Well, he used to love games when he was growing up. A simple way to escape reality for a few mere moments. Thus, he will be posting about his little adventures from time to time. The game in question is Red Dead Redemption 2.
I woke up to a sunny day at the camp and was hungry for a mission. Oh, Reverand woke up just fine as well. Pretending that it was just another oridnary day. Pffft.... Anyway, while enjoying my coffee and looking for my next mission it looked like we were going to go hunting!
We had to go horse shopping first, I guess this was more of the tutorial for the game. I liked my old horse. I called it Cow.... now I have to trade in a horse we found and get a new one.
The fabled stables... Horse-o-rama!
I didn't have much money, so I had to settle for this horse. Uhmmm.. it looks old, dirty and worn out... A diamond in the rough I guess. So I called it Diamond. I will take good care of it, even though it looks like a dirty stray dog.
Off we went on our merry little adventure to find the bear!
Our navigation expert doing his job and taking us to the fabled beast.
We traveled for way too long and got hungry. We decided it is time to get some grub and make camp. I got a rabbit for us. (perhaps still part of the tutorial to get you used to hunting and cooking your food for health.)
We told camp stories about our lives....
Eventually alone and contemplating life... A fire is always the best for this activity. No other natural things comes close.
The next morning we started the day with a cup of coffee and headed out to find this big knarly bear our hunter was talking about.
Along the way, I found this little cabin and thought I would investigate...
Coffee and beans!
The house I just took the coffee and beans from has a killer view. So peaceful and calm. I wouldn't mind living here... Then again, there is a big monster bear around here.
It might look like I am picking these pretty flowers, but I was placing bait on the ground to lure the bear out...
And now we wait... we waited a long time and decided to check on our lure/bait trap.
Just then the bear came out of nowhere and attacked us. We were able to scare it off, but we didn't get off easy. My hunter friend got injured. He told me he was going home, he had enough.
I had the option to join him or to take care of this bear...
After a change of pants and pantaloons, I was ready to take on this bear! He will not beat me! I got my best weapons equipped and I have no more pee to pee. I have to do this!
Spotted in the distance, I took out my gun and started shooting. He rushed towards me and was about to attack me when I switched to my shotgun. No matter what game or universe we use a shotgun in. Face to face it is almost always a winner.
IT. WAS. DONE.
The next part could be a little graphic for some users so if you do not like violent things, now would be a good time to stop reading and upvote, lol. Or be brave and soldier on. It is only a game after all.
Skinning the bear for its majestic pelt. The game really goes into a lot of detail here...
I finally got my prize and will be off to sell it for a buttload of cash.
Oh, wait, what is that? I have to investigate!
I investigated too much. It looked like an abandoned camp so I just took their stuff, this is for survival reasons of course, and then a man came from afar shouting at me and telling me he would turn me in. Well... I had to take care of him. I will not go down, sincerely sorry old friend, old buddy, and pal... BANG BANG! Then I hightailed it out of there....
Scrooger signing off and thinking if all this hunting and killing is really necessary, I wonder if I could play this game in an extremely peaceful manner and not kill anyone. That is unlikely though, as it is a game and these things happen... Until our next adventure!
Excellent screenshots bro. RDR2 has always seemed like a work of art to me in many ways. It's such a beautiful world and so well made that it makes you want to take a screenshot every 10 minutes. That happened to me when I played it the first time, haha.
I know, right? I keep getting sidetracked by just looking at the amazing graphics. Truly amazing what they did with the game. I can't wait to see what they will do with GTA6
After reading this in title, I totally thought you had a spelling mistake there. And then I checked the post and noticed that its about capturing that bear and you bearly made it. Well thought title.
