Yes, I play with scurvy, but since I'm playing on normal difficulty, I get bars that give me vitamin C. There's also something I can collect, so I survive with that.
It's good to know where the fishing lines are because I've never come across any. I generally don't do the side quests because I feel like it's a lot of walking around the map, and sometimes it's a bit annoying to navigate. But in survival, I try to explore as much as I can.
