La historia de la humanidad está llena de conflictos, y podría decirse que por naturaleza el ser humano es imperfecto. Traemos consigo defectos y fallas, que constantemente buscamos corregir, y esto se refleja en nuestra realidad individual y social. En esta iniciativa en la comunidad Humanitas, reflexionaremos acerca de los conflictos que existen y han existido en la historia como humanidad, o quizás, más que todo, como sociedad.

Recientemente, diversas protestas estudiantiles se han generado en universidades de Estados Unidos, con motivo del cese del conflicto que ocurre actualmente en medio oriente, específicamente entre Palestina e Israel. Dichas protestas no sólo suceden justo antes de las elecciones presidenciales de aquel país, cosa que dará mucho de qué hablar en lo político, sino que son las primeras protestas de ese tipo y de esa magnitud que ocurren desde la década de los 60' con la guerra de Vietnam. Esto no es algo menor, y da para reflexionar en cuanto a los conflictos que ocurren y han ocurrido siempre en la humanidad.

La guerra ha estado presente prácticamente en todo momento desde que la humanidad pasó a ser más que cazadores-recolectores. Más allá de cuál sea el motivo de dichas protestas estudiantiles, o de cuál sea el bando que estas se inclinen a apoyar, es claro que todo este ambiente de conflictos entre personas y países trae consigo mucha incertidumbre, caos, y por supuesto, pérdidas humanas. Si bien todo esto es lamentable, en esta ocasión intentaremos analizar todo esto desde una perspectiva humanística ¿Es la guerra algo intrínseco del ser humano? ¿Se pudieron haber evitado todas la guerras?

Iniciativa: El Ser Humano y la Guerra

Sabemos que este tema da mucho de qué hablar y es por ello que en la comunidad Humanitas queremos que utilices toda esa "energía de lucha" para compartir una publicación, ya sea escrita o en formato de video, acerca de la guerra desde una óptica humanística. Diversas guerras importantes ocurren y han ocurrido desde el comienzo del pasado siglo, pero eres libre de reflexionar acerca de alguna en particular, varias, o sobre el tema en general.

Cabe destacar que la guerra no es únicamente ese típico conflicto armado entre soldados, sino que también puede ser y ha sido un conflicto intenso entre países, sociedades o personas. Recordemos que luego de las dos guerras mundiales se dio paso a la "guerra fría", una guerra mucho más pausada e indirecta entre dos potencias mundiales.

La guerra, si bien se suele entender como un conflicto, armado o no, también puede entenderse como ese "espíritu" o "sentimiento" de lucha que todo ser humano posee en su interior. Una guerra puede suceder literalmente dentro de una persona, en su propia mente, sin involucrar a otros. En este sentido, cabría preguntarse ¿Es esto totalmente negativo? ¿Es necesario este "espíritu" de lucha para vencer emociones y pensamientos negativos en momentos de adversidad?
