Knowledge is power.

Education is a key to a good living. If you think that education is expensive, try ignorance. It is quiet true that no knowledge is a west . Education is power!
Generally, education be said to be the act of impacting knowledge, ideas or information to people or someone. Education can be formal or informal.
Informal education comes first in the life of every individual because it is the first training a child gets from home. It has no defined place or curriculum for it and it is most times not learned but acquired because it is full of observation. That is the children observe and squires from their parents or the older ones. Informal education includes learning how to do the domestic chores, and sometimes farm work and other works outside the location of formal education, like learning hand work and other minor jobs. It is also in informal education that the norms and traditions of a people are being impacted to the children by their parents or the traditional rulers.

Informal education is very necessary for child upbringing especially the female ones because in the olden days even now in some African traditions, a young lady without an informal education can easily be send away from her husband's house to her father's house because of lack of home training especially on the side of respect, cooking and other home management. So, informal education is very important especially on the side of female children.

Formal education is a type of education that has a defined place, time and curriculum for it. It is the type of education that was brought down to us in Nigeria by the white people. It is the standard system of education of which is expected to transform and exposes who so ever goes through it.

In Nigeria in those days women are not allowed to go through formal education, reasons being that they are not expected to be in lightened or exposed so that they won't go challenge their husbands at home. The believe then was that women are only made for informal education. That brought about the saying that women's education ends in the kitchen. But today the eyes of the Nigerians has opened that their women do not only undergoes formal education but also involved politics, which a woman has been one time governor in one of the State which is Anambra State by name Virginia Etiaba.
Today many Nigerians has tagged education "scam" because of lack of Job opportunity. Many youths has finished university with first class and went back to the farm while some went under a child that doesn't even finished secondary school in other to learn hand work and at the end be able to establish their own. When I was younger, during my primary school days we to sing a song that we are the future hope, we are the leaders of tomorrow. But till date that I have finished university I have not seen an average age man ruling the country let alone a young man. Education has been be little so much that money can buy first class certificate without being in rolled through the institution. In the country today, the saying is that knowledge is power but education is a scam. Why because he that has money, has wisdom not knowledge or education again.
But, is education really a scam? No of course. Education brings about knowledge and knowledge is power. No amount of money can buy knowledge instead it ends up buying certificate which will lead to damages. Like when am illiterate with money buys the qualifications of a medical doctor hmmm. He has to start from himself and his family please. So I keep saying that education is still a key to success and not a scam because even in hand work and some other fields there are still much difference between someone who applies educational wisdom and one who just learned work.

Thanks so much for coming around. Please the pictures are mine as I snapped them with my phone camera.
