I was curious to read what most of our writers would have to say about the Valentine's Day, and indeed there has been a lot of writings on the subject. Some people regard February 14 as unique to show love to one's spouse while others loath the day and claim that love does not have to wait until the 14th of February.
In order to set the records straight for those who believe that February 14 is a day to show love to their partner, there are millions of people out there who can't afford to buy gifts for their partner, let alone the fact that Valentine's day is not for everyone. It might be for some people but to most, the day is merely a paid day of entertainment. The rich may do what they want to do, while the ordinary people go about their lives as usual.
There is no magic date for love girls and boys. Neither is love ever found in a single place. Several young ladies spend the day in solitude and regret because they don't have anyone to celebrate the day with.
With Valentine's Day just a day away, and some still on the hunt for love connections, it is easy to forget some of the most important things we have. Many youths commit suicide due to disappointments and betrayals from people they had expected to spend Valentine's Day with. Valentine's Day celebrations meant the violation of the sanctity of young girls, which would haunt them and injure them all their lives. Valentine's Day also saw married men leaving their spouses back home and went on a hook-up with venerable ladies. These are the darker aspects of Valentine's Day, and is it still a day of love?
As if Valentine's day were special just because on that day their hearts had melted. Does love have to get dated in order to turn out to be true? And at any time, does love happen to be due to a particular date? Love, by its very nature, is a sort of "composition" that doesn't stay at one date or year. Love does not wait for a certain day, and every word of the text is shown in its full measure in the rest of our lives.
Love is not found on February 14 but is a divine power given by God to strengthen us and to motivate us to do what is right-right away-to take us through in every situation.
There is no sacrifice on February 14 Valentine's love because people prepare for it. Sacrifice is what you do all the time to make your partner happy even when you don't feel like it. Here is where the depth of love is revealed: What you do to keep your partner happy even if you don't feel like it.
Love is all about the commitment of your life to love in words and deed. To love people without reservation and to accept them just as they are, means to put your life on the line for them. It is a special kind of love wherein one has to sacrifice his dreams, hopes, and happiness for another person. You don't feel any deep love when it does not involve sacrifice for someone else, letting go of your dream, hope, and happiness for the person, and such can never be found on February 14 valentine.
There is no season, no time of the year, in which it exists-love. In fact, it is a long-awaited dream that comes true. Love does not exist in any other eyes but in the eyes of God. Whatever everyone tries to prove to the contrary, love doesn't exist on Valentine's day. At the end of this discussion, the real love that we should seek is the love of God.
This is the type of love, the Bible maintains, that is not subject to seasons and it is always waiting for us for it does never change. Consequently, as part of us might be thinking towards celebrating this upcoming Valentine's Day, be guaranteed that you keep the right man and the perfect place. Look for the love that's selfless and limitless.
Live a life that proves that one is indeed a man/woman for others, not for one's self. Your love for Jesus and others has to match. This should reflect on your every day because love is not found in February 14 but in the special things you do always out of love's sake.
The true lover of love never disappoints anyone, for to disappoint is to fail. So put your trust into God, and believe in him after Him go with all of your heart and love your family to the fullest and never be afraid to give sacrifices because the love will never fail.
