Spinnaker Sunset.

in Drone12 days ago

Following along with my walk around Portsmouth, I arrived at Spinnaker Tower.

Built in 2005 and costing nearly £35m, the the tower is 170 metres tall and one of the tallest towers with an observation deck in the UK.

As the terrain is very flat, the sun disappeared very quickly but I was still about to get some good shots of other notable locations.

The Wightlink Ferry company operates from this area. It's quite a tight spot to dock but the captains manoeuvred around expertly!

These last two shots are of The Vulcan Building. It was built in 1841 for storage of commodities unloaded from merchant ships and partially destroyed in a fire as a result of the Blitz.
In modern day it is mixed use residential and part open to the public.
