Capturing Brown Bears with a Drone!

in Drone6 months ago (edited)

Hello Drone Community,

Last time, I shared just a small percentage of the photos I took of the brown bears. In this post, I really wanted to share some more pictures of the bears we saw in Geographic Harbour.

This was the first time I've actually seen bears in real life, and it was definitely an incredible experience. Witnessing these majestic creatures up close is inspiring. What made it even more special was seeing them so healthy and thriving in the wild, where they truly belong.

I think many Americans don't fully appreciate the incredible treasure they have up here in Alaska. It's unlike any place I've ever been. The sheer beauty and raw wilderness are beyond comparison. I've travelled to many countries, but Alaska stands out as something truly unique, with landscapes and wildlife that are simply unparalleled. It's a place that feels almost otherworldly, and words can't do justice to its magnificence.

Anyway, enough talk... You might be surprised, but the bear eating the grass wasn't bothered in the slightest by the drone. It was completely unfazed, which gave me the perfect opportunity to capture some truly amazing photos. The calmness of the bear allowed me to get closer than I ever expected, resulting in shots that really showcase the beauty and power of these incredible animals.

On the morning of the day we were leaving, we spotted a bear cub, and I quickly got the drone out. I managed to get within a few metres of them and captured one of the best shots I've taken so far. It was an incredible moment, and seeing the cub up close like that was a real highlight of the trip. The experience reminded me of how special and fleeting these opportunities can be.

Nice, One of the reasons I bought the drone with lots of zoom was for wildlife photos without disturbing them. These are great.

I'm glad you liked them, Drones are handy little gadgets that come in handy, in more scenarios than we think.
