Heading South

As the days get colder, we head further south. Winter is definitely coming now, and the diesel heaters are running for about 16 hours a day. The drone shots were taken when we were on passage, motoring sailing into the Sitka region, where we will spend the next two weeks until we eventually explore Sitka. We haven't made much progress, as we are in no rush whatsoever.

We are not meeting any other sailors, and to be honest, I think we are the only ones up here. But that doesn't matter; it just means we've got all the secret spots to ourselves, which we don't mind at all. Tomorrow, we will put out our shrimp trap and hope for a bigger catch this time. Oh, and they do taste so much better compared to supermarket crap.

We got a few spots recommended by some fishermen in Elfin Cove, and they definitely know where the shrimp are. Tomorrow, if the weather permits, I'll try to finish fixing the generator, as we would like to use it now. I just need to pull the injectors and check if it's getting fuel, replace a hose, and then there's another electrical issue, which should be an easy fix.
