I'm building a new 6S2P Li-Ion battery pack for my GEPRC Moz7 drone. This isn't my first venture into DIY Li-Ion batteries, but this time I've opted for a spot welder over a soldering iron. I purchased an affordable, straightforward battery spot welder that performs the task perfectly. The cells I'm using are Sony/Murata US18650VTC6 3120mAh - 30A which gives me a ~6000mAh/24V battery pack for up to 25 minutes fligtime with the Moz7.
Nice work! I see a lot of you long-range guys making your own Li-Ion packs. Not something I'm brave enough to try yet!
Thanks! Building one of these isn't a big deal. You just need to choose the right cells and ensure they're soldered properly. If not, there's a risk that the connections could come undone under high current.
