Finally 48 hours later of non-stop rain it somewhat cleared up and l had to get the drone out to capture these stunning reflections.
This is Macdonald Island:
Macdonald Island is a small, forested island located in Princess Louisa Inlet, a stunning fjord in British Columbia, Canada. Known for its dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and serene beauty, the inlet is a popular destination for boaters and nature lovers.
Macdonald Island sits near the entrance of the inlet and serves as a navigational landmark for those exploring the area. Covered in dense vegetation, the island offers a peaceful retreat and is part of the traditional territory of the Sechelt (Shíshálh) First Nation. The calm waters around the island are ideal for kayaking and other water activities. Accessible only by boat or floatplane, Princess Louisa Inlet, including Macdonald Island, remains a pristine and protected marine environment. Its remote location and untouched natural beauty make it one of the most breathtaking spots on the British Columbia coast.
It’s amazing to have this place to ourselves. Visiting in winter means fewer people—it’s cold, and everyone’s busy with work. We get to enjoy the quiet beauty of Princess Louisa Inlet all alone. It’s a special treat.
After days of rain, waterfalls appear everywhere, their constant rush filling the air as they pour into the ocean. It’s a magical sound, its something so special words can’t quite capture. You really have to experience it yourself.
Princess Lousia Inlet is even surrounded with high mountains surprisingly still snow-capped.
For the final shot—the one that stands above the rest:
