Lately I haven't had a chance to fly my drone, the weather has been almost always bad. I got these pictures a few weeks ago, but didn't have a chance to post, I've been away from posting for a little while, life just kept me busy...
I posted here some photos from La Jolla Shores Pier on new year's day and I mentioned that I tried to go to Children's Pool but it was too busy that day. So I went back there a week after, in a weekday afternoon. It wasn't that busy, actually I think it was the less busy it could get as that area is always busy and full of people. That day was right after a storm and the surf was high. I still want to go back there another day, with calm waters, to fly my drone and then compare to these pictures I'm posting today.
Children's Pool is located in one of the busiest areas of La Jolla, it's right next to La Jolla Cove. It was built a long time ago and the intention was to create a safe place for children to swim, but it also ended up being a perfect place for Seals and Sea Lions. That area has a lot of Seals and Sea Lions, and just a little north of Children's Pool there is a rock named Seal Rock, a flat exposed rock that Seals and Sea Lions go to rest. Lot's of tourists go check out Seal Rock, it's one of the main tourist spots in San Diego. Now wildlife advocates are trying to close Children's Pool for public access for wildlife preservation.
Let's check out the pictures, I started at Children's Pool, then moved north to La Jolla Cove and the Seal Rock, then back south to some tide pools and a view to Windansea Beach.

Your drone is a perfect picture taker. The Children’s pool is so beautiful
Nice pictures!
Thank you!! Yes, drones are an amazing tool for photographs.
Beautiful photos!!! I think that with these big waves and "foamy" water the photos are even better than if it were calm... I can hear the sound of waves!! 🙂
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I loved the pictures with the waves too, in some pictures you can see them splashing in the rocks. That area usually has dolphins and whales too, so I hope to get some pictures of these beautiful animals one day, but it needs to be with calm waters.
Wow - very impressive. Thanks for sharing some gorgeous photos.
Thanks!! I really enjoyed taking these pics!
