Flying there is not that hard, just need to choose a good day. There are some flight restrictions there, as flying drones in any state park in California is prohibited, and the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is right there next to it. Also there is the Gliderport, a spot for hang gliding and paragliding, so you need to be careful with people flying in the area. Recently there was an episode where a drone hit a paraglider in that area, as you can see in this article here. The only spot to take off is from the end of the Gliderport parking lot. Best is to choose a time where there is no wind, or light wind, so nobody will be hang gliding or paragliding.
After I got home and looked at all pictures, I realized that I should have taken more pictures closer to the golf course, lower. I'm sure I missed a lot of good angles, so I will probably have to go back there and make another session.

This is a spot I had on my list for a long time, the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Torrey Pines is right between La Jolla and Del Mar, and most of this area is part of UCSD (University of California San Diego). The golf course is located on top of the cliffs, facing the pacific ocean, between Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and the Gliderport in Blacks Beach. This is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the US. The views are stunning. This course hosts every year the PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open, and has hosted 2 US Opens in the past. I made a post a long time ago with drone photos of the other side of the state park and I think @ksteem asked me about the golf course, so here it is!
