Tuan Island in Aceh Bay

Pulau Tuan, a small island situated in the western part of Banda Aceh mainland city, is approximately 7,000 m² in size based on my calculations using Google Maps. Until now the island is uninhabited as a settlement. The island is closest to the mainland of Sumatra Island, approximately 1.2 kilometers away, when measured in a straight line through Google Maps from the Ujong Pancu area, or (Head of Aceh; in ancient terms by Indian Ocean sea navigators in the 18th to 19th centuries. A somewhat similar island is located at the mouth of the bay, with the waters surrounded by the mainland cities of Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar Regency. In the past, these waters functioned as anchorages for sail-powered merchant and steam-powered ships, they understood it as the Aceh Bay, but in modern times this term is no longer known, so maybe these waters cannot be categorized as a bay.

Currently, the island is part of the administrative area of Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar Regency, Indonesia.

I've never been there, but my friends have confessed that it is a beautiful tourist spot, white sandy beach, that is also a coral reef conservation area. I've been wanting to go there for a long time, but it hasn't come true yet.

I flew the DJI Phantom 4 drone over the Tuan Island area and the surrounding beach area from Ujong Pancu Beach.

I think the island is uninhabitable because it deals with the west Indian Ocean monsoon and the east Malacca Strait monsoon
