Hello friends of Hive and the TBT community, it is a pleasure to join you again to continue remembering with you important moments of our lives. This time we are going to continue with my old rock band Teoría Cero, which as I mentioned last time, was the best experience I had as a musical artist in those years between 2009 and 2011.
Today we are going to place ourselves in an important event that happened on November 27, 2010, a date that I will never forget because we managed to fulfill a dream in advance...
After the presentation we had at the Instituto Universitario Carlos Soublette, we became great friends with a local band that also participated that day and with whom we had the honor to share that stage, it was Arcosombrosis. This band had already been dominating the city's music scene for several years and managed to gain a huge fan base due to their charisma and talent in psychedelic rock and roll.
The truth is that these guys contacted us to participate in an event organized by them, but what we didn't know was the magnitude and importance of it.
The concert would feature bands from my city and from the capital, something that in itself, excited us a lot, however, the biggest surprise was that the event would take place in a place where many high-level bands had played .... The Concha Acústica of Maracay!!!!
In this place great events have taken place and still in the present, important musicians continue to play there... for a moment imagine stepping with your band on a stage that has made history with great concerts and that for any musician represents a dream... great right? well, Teoría Cero managed to play in that place and that's why today I will talk about that glorious day for us, so come with me and Let's Rock! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad TBT, es un gusto acompañarles nuevamente para seguir recordando con ustedes momentos importantes de nuestras vidas. En esta oportunidad vamos a continuar con mi antigua banda de rock Teoría Cero, que como bien les mencioné la vez pasada, fue la mejor experiencia que como artista musical tuve en aquellos años entre el 2009 y 2011.
Hoy nos vamos a situar en un evento importante que ocurrió el 27 de noviembre del año 2010, una fecha que jamás olvidaré ya que logramos cumplir un sueño por adelantado...
Luego de la presentación que tuvimos en el Instituto Universitario Carlos Soublette, nos hicimos grandes amigos de una banda local que participó también ese día y con quienes tuvimos el honor de compartir esa tarima, se trata de Arcosombrosis. Esta banda tenía ya varios años dominando la escena musical de la ciudad y lograron hacerse con una gran fanaticada por su carisma y por su talento en el rock and roll psicodélico.
Lo cierto es que estos chicos nos contactaron para participar en un evento organizado por ellos, pero lo que no sabíamos era la magnitud e importancia del mismo.
El concierto contaría con bandas de mi ciudad y de la capital, algo que ya de por sí, nos emocionó mucho, sin embargo, la sorpresa más grande era que el evento se llevaría a cabo en un lugar donde muchas bandas de alto nivel habían tocado... La Concha Acústica de Maracay!!!
En este lugar se han hecho grandes eventos y todavía en el presente, siguen tocando músicos importantes ahí... por un momento imagínense pisar con su banda un escenario que ha hecho historia con grandes conciertos y que para cualquier músico representa un sueño... grandioso cierto? pues Teoría Cero logró tocar en ese lugar y es por eso que hoy les hablaré de ese día tan glorioso para nosotros, así que acompáñenme ¡A Rockear! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
One of the goals we had as a band was to play on the same stage with great bands, so this was the beginning. That day we had to arrive at 3 pm at the venue, to collaborate with the organizers since the event was starting at 5 pm. I remember that night there was another event in another great place where great friends were going to play with their bands and our idea was to play, listen to some other bands and go to support our friends in that event and as a very cool anecdote, I tell you that Teoría Cero also played in that place, but I will tell you about that in the next posts.
Here you can see the Concha Acústica, its facilities were a bit neglected, but the idea was to call the attention of the mayor's office with this concert so that they would put their eyes there and renovate that space. At 3:30 pm the sound crew arrived to install everything and then start with the event.
The sound that day was majestic; at 4 pm they called all the bands that were there at the time (others were missing) and told us the order in which we would go out to play... we were the 3rd band, so the anxiety was not long in coming.
Una de las metas que teníamos como banda era tocar en el mismo escenario con grandes bandas, por lo que esto fue el comienzo. Ese día debíamos llegar a las 3 pm al lugar, para colaborar con los organizadores ya que el evento comenzaba a las 5 pm. Recuerdo que esa noche había otro evento en otro lugar grandioso donde grandes amigos iban a tocar con sus bandas y nuestra idea era tocar, escuchar a algunas otras bandas e ir a apoyar a nuestros amigos en dicho evento y como anécdota muy genial, les adelanto que Teoría Cero también tocó en ese lugar, pero eso se los contaré en los siguientes posts.
Aquí pueden ver la Concha Acústica, sus instalaciones estaban un poco descuidadas, pero la idea era llamar la atención de la alcaldía con este concierto para que pusiera sus ojos allí y renovara ese espacio. A las 3:30 pm llegaron los del sonido a instalar todo para luego empezar con el evento.
El sonido ese día fue majestuoso; a las 4 pm nos llamaron a todas las bandas que estábamos en el momento (faltaban otras) y nos dijeron el orden en que saldríamos a tocar... a nosotros nos tocaba de 3eros, así que la ansiedad no se hizo esperar.
At 5 pm the concert started, the first band to perform began their presentation; the guys and I decided to go to the dressing room to prepare ourselves mentally before going out to play and we took the opportunity to take some pictures. After the previous presentations it was a necessity for us to make a pre-concert ritual, a habit that we took before going on stage and through which we gave each other motivational words so that everything would go well. That day we were so happy that we hugged each other and congratulated ourselves for having achieved a big dream in such a short time.
A las 5 pm arrancó el concierto, la 1era banda en presentarse inició su presentación; los muchachos y yo decidimos ir a los vestidores para prepararnos mentalmente antes de salir a tocar y aprovechamos de tomarnos unas fotos. Luego de las presentaciones anteriores fue una necesidad para nosotros hacer un ritual pre-concierto, un hábito que tomamos antes de subir a los escenarios y mediante el cual nos dábamos palabras motivadoras para que todo saliera bien. Ese día estábamos tan felices que nos abrazamos y nos felicitamos por haber logrado un sueño grande y en tan poco tiempo.
My brother was our photographer and cameraman during the concert, so these photos of the first 2 bands were captured by him. These guys called Karakana, were a very good rock cover band; I got to hear them live at some point and they were really great on stage and very technical in their playing with the instruments.
The guy in the red shirt was an emerging hip hop artist from the city who was invited to introduce each band. He really enjoyed our performance and congratulated us for putting on a great show and for the lyrical content of our songs.
Mi hermano fue nuestro fotógrafo y camarógrafo durante el concierto, por lo que estas fotos de las 2 primeras bandas fueron captadas por él. Estos chicos llamados Karakana, eran una banda de covers de rock muy buena; logré escucharlos en algún momento en vivo y de verdad eran geniales en tarima y muy técnicos en su ejecución con los instrumentos.
El chico de camisa roja era un artista de hip hop emergente de la ciudad quien fue invitado para presentar a cada banda. Él disfrutó mucho nuestra presentación y nos felicitó por haber dado un gran show y por el contenido de las letras de nuestras canciones.
Then it was the turn of Night Assault, an amazing trash metal band that came from Caracas and managed to conquer the extreme metal fans. Although I didn't see them play, some friends of mine showed me a recording of their show and believe me, it was brutal!
Luego fue el turno de Night Assault, una banda de trash metal increíble que venía de Caracas y que logró conquistar a los fans del metal extremo. A pesar de que no los vi tocar, unos amigos me mostraron una grabación de su show y créanme, fue brutal!!
The moment arrived, it was our turn to go on stage, many were skeptical because we were the least known band of all; we were 4 unknown guys and the most novices of that day, but despite that, we managed to make the members of the other bands also enjoy, those who had many years rocking on stage... that for us was our greatest satisfaction.
Because of the importance of that event, I told the guys to dress in black, white and red to match the colors of the instruments and to leave a good visual impact to the audience. This photo was at the moment when we were asked to test the sound before playing, so that everything would sound super cool.
El momento llegó, nos tocó subir al escenario, muchos andaban escépticos porque éramos la banda menos conocida de todas; éramos 4 chicos desconocidos y los más novatos de ese día, pero pese a ello, logramos hacer disfrutar hasta los integrantes de las otras bandas también, esos que tenían muchos años rockeando en escenarios.. eso para nosotros fue nuestra mayor satisfacción.
Por la importancia de ese evento, le dije a los muchachos que nos vistiéramos de color negro, blanco y rojo para combinar con los colores de los instrumentos y para dejar un buen impacto visual a los asistentes. Esta foto fue en el momento en que nos pidieron probar el sonido antes de tocar, para que todo se escuchara super genial.
The emotions of that day, as well as our expectations, were high; I remember that we rehearsed for a whole week for that presentation to go as well as possible because we knew that we would conquer many with our music and so it was, which forced us to create a Facebook account to stay in touch with our followers and announce our next presentations ... that was when we knew the impact of social networks in this business.
The pink pick was a kind of amulet that Luis (guitarist) gave me for the concert; it was an Ibanez pick from the great Steve Vai, he got it when he went to see him in concert once and wanted me to use it that day to play.
For that afternoon, we were accompanied by 5 very important people for us; Luz Marina, Marco's girlfriend (drummer), Maritza Ruben's girlfriend (bass player), Adrian and Andrea, Luis' best friends and my brother, who was our roadie and stage manager at that time. Thanks to them and their love for us, that day was great.
Las emociones de ese día, al igual que nuestras expectativas, eran altas; recuerdo que ensayamos una semana completa para que esa presentación saliera lo mejor posible ya que sabíamos que conquistaríamos a muchos con nuestra música y así fue, lo que nos obligó a crearnos una cuenta de Facebook para estar en contacto con nuestros seguidores y anunciar nuestras siguientes presentaciones... fue ahí cuando conocimos el impacto de las redes sociales en este negocio.
La pajuela rosada fue una especie de amuleto que me dio Luis (guitarrista) para el concierto; se trataba de una pajuela de la marca Ibanez del gran Steve Vai, la obtuvo cuando fue a verlo en concierto una vez y quiso que yo la usara ese día para tocar.
Para esa tarde, nos acompañaron 5 personas muy importantes para nosotros; Luz Marina, novia de Marco (baterista), Maritza la novia de Rubén (bajista), Adrián y Andrea, mejores amigos de Luis y mi hermano, quien fue nuestro roadie y stage manager en ese momento. Gracias a ellos y su amor hacia nosotros, ese día fue grandioso.
With this photo that was before going on stage, I want to close this post. Those of us who make music know that obtaining achievements and recognitions of this magnitude are the main incentives to advance in the world of show business, since the competition is usually very big and the opportunity to be heard on a large scale is difficult. So if you are a musician and you are starting your professional career with your band or as a soloist, be very patient, the results will come to you as long as you strive for it from humility and love... that is the key to success for everything in life.
This day was the happiest day of my life as far as music is concerned, because we went from being a band that nobody knew, to playing on the same stage with greats that for us were a source of inspiration and motivation... in the video you can feel the energy of those almost 25 minutes of concert where we gave the best of us. Con esta foto que fue antes de salir al escenario, quiero cerrar este post. Los que hacemos música sabemos que obtener logros y reconocimientos de esta magnitud son los incentivos principales para avanzar en el mundo del espectáculo, ya que la competencia suele ser muy grande y la oportunidad de ser escuchados a gran escala es difícil. Por eso si eres músico y estás iniciando tu carrera profesional con tu banda o como solista, ten mucha paciencia, los resultados llegarán a ti siempre y cuando te esfuerces por ello desde la humildad y el amor... esa es la clave del éxito para todo en la vida.
Este día fue el más feliz de mi vida en cuanto a la música se refiere, porque pasamos de ser una banda que nadie conocía, a tocar en la misma tarima con grandes que para nosotros eran una fuente de inspiración y motivación... en el video podrán sentir la energía de esos casi 25 minutos de concierto en donde dimos lo mejor de nosotros. Eso estuvo brutal!! Me encantó todo el panorama del concierto, la historia que hay en ese recuerdo y como trabajaban en equipo. Me gustó mucho que combinaran la ropa con los instrumentos, le da un impacto visual alucinante.
Tu hermano también tiene méritos porque documentó el momento más importante para Teoría Cero. Tocar en la tarima que tanto soñaban. Te felicito por ese logro tan extraordinario como banda.

Ahh qué bonita 😘... Este logro llegó en un momento crucial para nosotros como banda porque ayudó a creer más en lo que hacíamos ya que muchos nos subestimaron, bueno, eso suele ocurrir con todo en la vida y más cuando se trata de una meta tan compleja. Lo cierto es que nunca nos detuvimos y trabajamos duro mientras la banda estuvo junta; pudimos estar en más tarimas y nos proyectábamos para estar en otras más 🔥🔥🔥
Mi hermano fue clave en muchos momentos al igual que las novias de los muchachos, cada uno de ellos formaron parte de la familia Cero y nos apoyaban al máximo y eso... Nunca se olvida 🙏❤️

I see that this was one of those days that mark us so much that years go by and we can still tell them with the same detail... Great about the ritual before going on stage, that is vital and guarantees the success and safety of the artists. Ese fue sin lugar a dudas un gran logro y obviamente ustedes lo obtuvieron porque se lo merecen, es tome hace recordar al festival de rock 100% venezolano que organizaba el alcalde de Valencia hace muchos años, jaja y también recordé que mi sueño de adolescencia era estar en una banda 😁 Muy buen TBT, amigo, me encantó.
Estar en una banda es lo máximo, te confieso que puede ser extremo porque desgasta mucho por múltiples factores, pero es una experiencia que vale la pena vivir ya que se aprende demasiado de cada anécdota; te aseguro que con esto aprendí mucho más que si hubiera seguido estudiando música, que en realidad estudié muy poco a nivel académico porque yo mismo de forma autodidacta seguí desarrollando ese talento. Este fue un logro increíble que jamás olvidaré, siempre lo cuento con mucho orgullo porque ese día estábamos a tope en todo nivel 🔥🔥🔥... Ese festival era genial, una sola vez fui y porque a unos panas míos los invitaron a tocar allá en una edición del mismo 🙌😀💛!!!
