Today is #tbt Thursday!. And I really needed to write this post, since these days in the choir all we talk about is that a year ago we were landing in Madrid to start our concert tour, and those who follow me know that it was the first time I left Venezuela, so this trip echoes strongly in my mind, and we are anxious to know where the music will take us this year (if we leave). I think that of all the adventures I had there, one of the most impacting moments for me was getting to know the center of Madrid.
¡Hoy es Jueves de #tbt!. Y necesitaba escribir este post realmente, ya que estos días en el coro lo único que se habla es de que hace un año estábamos aterrizando en Madrid para iniciar nuestra gira de conciertos, y quienes me siguen saben que fue la primera vez que salí de Venezuela, así que este viaje retumba fuertemente en mi mente, y estamos ansiosos de saber a dónde nos llevará la música este año (si es que salimos). Creo que de todas las aventuras que viví allá, uno de los momentos más impactantes para mí fue conocer el centro de Madrid.
I remember that the eight hours of travel I practically couldn't sleep because of anxiety, and we arrived directly to make a recording for the radio and promote the tour. Then we went to the hotel and I literally took a shower, put on my exclusive coat to wear in Spain 😂 and we went straight to the center, with the excuse to change our cash for the local currency, but we did not return until after midnight, although I was dying of exhaustion. A friend we had not seen for seven years was waiting for us at the hotel entrance and was our tour guide.
Recuerdo que las ocho horas de viaje prácticamente no pude dormir por la ansiedad, y llegamos directamente para hacer una grabación para la radio y promocionar la gira. Luego fuimos al hotel y literalmente tomé una ducha, me puse mi abrigo exclusivo para usar en España 😂 y salimos directo al centro, con la excusa de cambiar nuestro efectivo por la moneda local, pero no volvimos sino después de media noche, aunque me moría del cansancio. Un amigo que teníamos siete años sin ver nos esperaba en la entrada del hotel y fue nuestro guía turístico.
At that moment I didn't know all the emotions I would live during the next two weeks, but I felt a great happiness, I thought I would never leave my country, and in fact last year I went abroad twice. I am an architecture lover, and in fact I find a lot of beauty in Caracas every day of my life, but Madrid was too much, every corner was beautiful and inspired me to take some pictures. I think the first day alone I took 300 pictures, maybe some of them look alike, but none of them are the same. I also bought a phone exclusively to take pictures on the trip and boy, did I use it for the first time.
En ese momento no sabía todas las emociones que viviría durante las siguientes dos semanas, pero sentí una gran felicidad, yo llegué a pensar que nunca saldría de mi país, y de hecho el año pasado salí al exterior dos veces. Soy amante de la arquitectura, y de hecho encuentro mucha belleza en Caracas cada día de mi vida, pero Madrid fue demasiado, cada rincón era hermoso y me inspiraba a tomar alguna fotografía. Creo que solo el primer día tomé 300 fotos, quizás algunas se parecen, pero ninguna es igual. También compré un teléfono exclusivamente para tomar fotografías en el viaje y vaya que lo estrené por todo lo alto.
That first day we visited Plaza Mayor and Plaza Puerta de Sol. I always wonder if I will return to Madrid or not, and I was a little upset when I took the photos of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree, everyone was touching the bear's butt and no photo was perfect. When I arrived in Venezuela I was told that it was good luck to touch that part of the bear so that one returns to Madrid. I felt mocked hahaha, but I still need to go back and continue enjoying every corner of a city that influenced me positively, and that meant the end of a streak of very hard times in my life. Today I remember it with much affection and I wish that God continues to grant moments of happiness and professionalism for my teammates and for us 🙏
Ese primer día conocimos la Plaza Mayor y la Plaza Puerta de Sol. Siempre me pregunto si volveré o no a Madrid, y es que yo estaba algo molesto cuando tomé las fotos del Oso y el Madroño, todo el mundo le tocaba el trasero al oso y ninguna foto era perfecta. Cuando llegué a Venezuela fue que me dijeron que era de buena suerte tocar esa parte del oso para que uno vuelva a Madrid. Me sentí burlado jajaja, pero igual necesito volver y seguir disfrutando de cada rincón de una ciudad que influyó positivamente en mí, y que significó el fin de una racha de momentos muy duros en mi vida. Hoy lo recuerdo con mucho cariño y deseo que Dios siga concediendo momentos de felicidad y y profesionalismo para mis compañeros y para nosotros 🙏
Madrid junto con Barcelona y Cádiz en Andalucía son de las ciudades más hermosas de España
Solo conozco Madrid y puedo asegurar que tienes razón jajaja. Teníamos un concierto en Barcelona para el Jueves Santo, pero fue suspendido antes de comenzar la gira. Espero que un viaje como este se repita, o hacerlo por mi cuenta en el futuro. Gracias por pasar y comentar hermano...
Hermosas fotografías por lugares icónicos de Madrid, no tengo dudas de que la pasaste realmente bien y que te quedó mucho de ese viaje.

Saludos amigo, este es un viaje que siempre quedara para el recuerdo y sobre todo ese gran sacrificio y esfuerzo para poder estar alli parado en cada uno de esos lugares que son unicos, ademas con tener la oprtunidad de salir de Venezuela, ya con eso te tienes que sentir ganador y mas aun para hacer cosas que te gustan. Seguro este año sera muy bueno.
Dios mediante este año la agrupación volverá a viajar, pero dudo que sea a España, ya veremos a futuro, pero vaya que eso sube los ánimos y alimenta el espíritu de la coral ❤️

La verdad es que Europa es muy bello, su arquitectura antigua destaca y más por el hecho de que las conservan. Muy bonitas fotos y que bien que hayas disfrutado tanto el viaje
Esa fue una de las cosas que más me impresionó, encontrar tanta arquitectura antigua, pero bien conservada y muchos edificios modernos y hasta futuristas, una combinación muy grata para el turista. Gracias por pasar y comentar querida Carmen ❤️
