HOWDY FOLKS How was your day? Today, Join me as we visit the CAPELINHA DE FATIMA REPLICA at San Remigio, Cebu

Last December 8, 2024 my family and I decided to visit the Capelinha de Fatima Replica located at San Remigio Cebu. We visited the said place because it was also the birthday of our Saint Immaculate Conception.

We tend to attend the mass at dawn in Capelinha de Fatima Replica not only to pray but also to celebrate the birthday of the Immaculate Conceptin.

Upon arriving to the said place, we felt a bit sad as we expected that there will be a mass scheduled during that day. Still, we decided to light some candles and pray for the grace we had, a good health for our family, and lastly we asked for the forgiveness for the sins we had made because as we all know Mary is known for her faithfulness, love, and her pivotal role in God’s plan of salvation.

There were two areas for candle lightings; the first one was for the long candles and the other is for the shorter ones.

We spoke some of few residents who lived beside the place and asked them when and what time does the church hold a mass, and they said the mass schedule were posted on the church's Facebook page.

I'll drop the mass schedule link below so that you can go there conveniently and hustle free.

After lighting our candles and a moment of silent prayers, we then snapped some photos for a never ending forgotten memory. We also decided to stay there for a while until sun rises.

A few minutes passed and my uncle called us to went to Tambongon public market to buy fresh fish for our breakfast.

Upon strolling at the market we saw a stall who sells various foods. We stopped by and decided to warm our stomachs before going home. We bought hot chocolate (sikwate) and Puto Maya (sticky rice cake).

After eating we went back home.

Some aspects that I liked. The first was the visit to the replica, the architecture of the place is beautiful.

The second was the visit to the market. It is peculiar that you did it, I liked it, it felt natural and pleasant.

The third aspect was undoubtedly the hot chocolate. Even I was provoked by it.

Greetings friend, thanks so much for posting on #tbt Thursdays!. The post you shared with us today is beautiful, as much as this place, these photographs and the meaning of devotion to Mary. It is nice to see that on the other side of the world also practice these rites 🙏
