Hi, there!
Today is Thursday, and it was on the 7th of November 2024 that I celebrated the 29th and 30th combined convocation that took place at the 1000-seater TETFUND auditorium, main campus, Nwaniba Road, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. Don't be surprised that I rounded off all my educational stuff this year, and fortunately, convocation called, In, and I followed. I celebrated myself and my guests, and close and near celebrated with me. Normally, it wasn't to be so, but because our Excellency, Governor, Umo Eno, who was inaugurated as a PhD student, made the ceremony open for the recent graduands. If not for him we would have waited for 5 years intervals before we convoked. My set was so honored to be part of the convoked students this year and we were happy and celebrated.
It was a day that will not easily skip my mind. You know as a celebrant, I prepared myself physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I got to my department to get my convocation gown, went to the market that same day, and purchased a simple corporate gown. Thank God I found the one I so much like. The following day, I made my hair, and on Wednesday, I rested; I used that day to set a reminder to my guests.
Oops, the day broke as Thursday came up as the dawn of the new, setting my heart beep with joy and excitement. Rice and stew were prepared, and I ate some and dressed up for the venue. I put on my dress and my black heels, buckled up my belt, and put on my convocation gown; I carried my scroll and my scribes that signify convocation, and I put on my convocation cap on my head, and I moved to the venue majestically. My parents came, my pastor, and some of my choir members came, my friends came, and others who were far away sent in their support. My siblings did so well, they aren't around the state but their support was massive and enthusiastic.
It was a profound and fun-filled day for me and my family. The first graduate in both families, paternal and maternal background. I was so happy and I thank God for being the source of strength and protection all through the years at school. It was God. It wasn't by my power, or strength but by the spirit of the lord who saw me through.
I thank God for my earthly parents, for their support, financial and prayers, and for my pastor. He has done so much for me. God bless them. Amen. I'm blessed too. Glory to God.
Thank you for reading through.
I love, I care, and I forgive
