Today I will show you some pictures of last year when I went with my family to the Draculandía park that was reopened a short time ago. I used to go to this place a lot when they used to do the fairs in Valencia (my city in Venezuela) back then it was a different place, almost everything was green areas and some roofed areas where they put the fair stands, but now it is a huge theme park, with attractions for the whole family, both for adults and children, there is even a perennial circus (it is not nomadic) where they present magic shows.
Hoy les mostraré algunas fotos del año pasado cuando fui con mi familia al parque Draculandía reinaugurado hace poco tiempo. Yo iba mucho a este lugar cuando solían hacer las ferias de Valencia (mi ciudad en Venezuela) en ese entonces era un lugar diferente, casi todo eran areas verde y algunas zonas techadas donde se ponían los stand de la feria, pero ahora es un enorme parque temático, con atracciones para toda la familia, tanto para adultos como para niños, incluso hay hasta un circo perenne (no es nómada) donde presentan espectáculos de magia.
One of the things I liked the most was the contact farm, I was very surprised to see an ostrich so close, because I must confess that I had never seen one, much less had the opportunity to touch them. I was impressed by the size they have and the speed they can reach when running, but it was a pleasant experience.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó fue la granja de contacto, me sorprendió mucho ver una avestruz tan de cerca, porque debo confesarles que yo nunca había visto una, mucho menos había tenido la oportunidad de tocarlas. Me impresionó el tamaño que tienen y la velocidad que pueden alcanzar al correr, pero fue una grata experiencia.
I have always been interested in aeronautics, so I really enjoyed being close to a real helicopter, although this one was painted for the kids since it is in the area of the famous Minions, but there are aircraft scattered throughout the park such as helicopters and small planes.
Siempre me ha llamado la atención la aeronáutica, así que disfruté mucho de estar cerca de un helicóptero real, aunque este fue pintado para los niños ya que está en el area de los famosos Minions, pero hay aeronaves repartidas por todo el parque como helicópteros y avionetas.
There is also a Jurassic area with life-size replicas of different dinosaurs, some (younger) children were scared and others looked at the statues with amazement, the best part is that they all have an informative plaque that says the type of dinosaur and during what period it lived, this way the experience becomes very fun and educational at the same time.
También hay un area de jurásica con réplicas de tamaño real de diferentes dinosaurios, algunos niños (más pequeños) se asustaban y otros miraban las estatuas con asombro, lo mejor de todo es que todas tienen una placa informativa que dice el tipo de dinosaurio y durante que periodo vivió, de esta forma la experiencia se vuelve muy divertida y educativa al mismo tiempo.
The lake area is beautiful and even more so at night because they turn on all the lights and these are reflected in the water that looks like a mirror. There is a small dock where many people gather to enjoy the scenery. During the day you can see the pedal boats pass by with people on board, and at night there are musical shows on the dock.
El area del lago es bellísima y lo es aún más aún de noche porque encienden todas las luces y estas se reflejan en el agua que parece un espejo. Hay un pequeño muelle donde mucha gente se reúne a disfrutar el paisaje. Durante el día se ven pasar los botes de pedales con la gente a bordo, y en la noche hay espectáculos musicales en el muelle.
It was a very pleasant experience that I hope to repeat at some other time, best of all is that the entrance to the park is completely free and you can have a great time in the company of friends and family because there are green areas, bars, restaurants and cafes everywhere, plus street stalls.
Fue una muy grata experiencia que espero se repita en algún otro momento, lo mejor de todo es que la entrada al parque es completamente gratis y uno puede pasar un muy buen momento en compañía de amigos y familiares porque hay areas verdes, bares, restaurantes y cafeterías por doquier, además de puestos ambulantes.
