That is a very interesting thought!! I have a feeling they are some how related. When I was traveling I remember seeing people dancing with scarecrows on new year's eve in Mexico. I think on new year's day they made a new scare crow for the new year. At least, that is what I THOUGHT was going on, lol, I didnt speak Spanish then so I could be wrong 😹
