Today is the New Moon - so I am really supposed to be starting Pisces today... but this is all rather odd. My close friend passed away on February 13th at Midnight - and he was a Pisces and his birthday would have been tomorrow - and all the while, while I have been dealing with the crazy funeral arrangement situation, I have been working on the Aquarius horse. I have been calling in the overlighting Deva of Mustangs and praying for the mustangs while I paint...trying to channel the highest possible frequency into the painting - using tensor rings around my arms... It just seems so odd to me. The New Moon is also tomorrow so I can begin to look at horses running in opposite directions for Pisces...
I had to change everything in this painting - my husband didn't like the lightening - and since he is an Aquarius, I felt that he was probably right. I had to go on youtube and find out how to remove modpodge mistakes - it was easy - a little too easy I think, so now I am probably going to have to go over everything with Liquitex Gel Medium and possibly seal it with Liquitex Seal - which means that I will have to redo the iridescence - not sure about this yet... I might not, but it is concerning. Don't put your acrylic collage in the rain or it will disolve. I am used to working in oil which is pretty much bullet proof.
Also, I removed the mustang's wild forelock - really didn't like it. When I redid the lightening, I added a white inner strip to it - once again I will have to really glue that down - tomorrow with gel medium.
I added a few pieces of the yellow to the horse - on the collage part. And I added the glow - first in white, then I went over it in the same yellow as the lightning and then I went over that with gold. I like it.
Here's the full piece:
I will have to get a professional photographer because my old iPhone camera can't really capture the colors of the purple in the mountains and the anvil cloud...especially under LEDs - the way I would like. But it is the best I could do.
I do really like it though. I like how it looks like the moment when the lightning cracks and lights up the horse - the rain is cool - I did that with an old credit card - I really like this painting - and as with all the best paintings, I don't feel like I did it! It was done through me.
I almost did not finish it because I went for a long walk today and was so tired - but I have to keep to the Moon schedule.
And what is the Moon?
I am doing some Ancient Spiritual Practices right now which state that you allow the light of the Sun and the Moon to shine through your right and left sides - which suggests that the Moon has it's own inner light source and is not a reflection of the sun, which I am sure is true.
I have been thinking about how to do the new painting for a while now, as I finish this painting, so maybe I am on schedule.
