I just created a Black Lives Matter Community on Hive: https://peakd.com/c/hive-186309/created I didn’t think any more time should go by without having a Black Lives Matter community here, out of respect to George Floyd.

I created the Black Lives Matter Community, not for myself, but with the intention of handing over ownership of it to a Black Lives Matter leader when I find someone.

I sent an email directly to the Black Lives Matter organization with this same info contained in it. Any money generated by this post will go as a donation to Black Lives Matter and 10% to the cover artist @gloriecoeurart: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ms_blm_homepage_2019.

I’d like to clarity something, I am not black. However, my daughter is part black, so I am connected to this reality more than most. I was raised in a multi-racial community, where as a child, I never even noticed that our skin colors were different. It wasn’t until high school that I became aware of racism.

I would never pretend to claim that I understand what it’s like to be black in America. I am white and privileged, and the only racism I have felt came second-hand from my friends who are black. I had a black friend in high school, and I remember one day we were just walking down the street in a small town. A white guy hung out of his car as it drove by us and yelled at us “stick with your own kind!”.

I’ve seen racism in this country, but really, now is the time for us white people to be compassionate and listen to what kind of hell black people have been dealing with their entire lives.

My little story doesn’t compare in any way, and I know it. So, as a white person in this country, I have to ask myself, “how can I help?” What can I do to make things right? What does that action look like?

I think it starts with being honest with ourselves and listening to people who have very different experiences from our own. And then we gotta take action that makes sense, and supports black people who have been suffering for way too long.

We can’t really go forward until we all realize what the hell is going on, and we are now in that moment in the USA. Talking about or caring about inane things while our country burns to the ground with unsolved racial inequality is not really an option anymore.

Einstein had this to say about racism:

“There is separation of colored people from white people in the United States,” said the renowned physicist, using the common term in the day. “That separation is not a disease of colored people. It is a disease of white people. I do not intend to be quiet about it.”

I can’t be quiet anymore about this, either. I feel so much rage in my heart. I watched that George Floyd video and part of me died, too. The way that white cop had his hand casually in his pocket while George cried out for his mama as he took his last breath of life, was the final straw for me. We have to do something to change the future.

If you don’t know anything about BLM here is a bit of history: Black Lives Matter was founded in 2013 by three women, Patrice Cullors https://twitter.com/osopepatrisse Alicia Garza https://twitter.com/aliciagarza and Opal Tometi https://twitter.com/opalayo

Directly from the Black Lives Matter website comes this description:

“#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.”

To everyone in the Black Lives Matter movement: I want you to know that your data belongs to you, not to Zuckerberg.

This goes back to me asking myself “how can I help?” I do want to help and the only way I can help effectively right now is to bring awareness about the areas I am most passionate about: ownership of our own social media data and online communities.

Hive has figured out a lot of things, namely the technical side of monetizing our own data, and it's battle-tested, too. There are some social challenges left to iron out, but I think Hive has a strong, independent community that is resilient. It's got a lot in common with small countries who have declared their freedom from an oppressor (Justin Sun).

On Facebook, if it becomes criminal to mention the word “antifa” and if Black Lives Matter people get targeted like they already did on Twitter (still looking into the botnet that hacked into real BLM accounts and mass tweeted a pre-written message with hashtag #dcblackout), then decentralized alternatives like Hive will not only be necessary, but it will be about survival.

People can back up their facebook and twitter posts on peakd.com, in order to see what is being censored. People can’t even post a real photo of Trump and daughter anymore on Facebook without being censored. What’s next? It’s already bad. It’s time to switch I’d say.

Even the people who work at Facebook know something is wrong:

So here is my message to the Black Lives Matter community: You are the rightful owners of your own data, and you should be the ones who receive economic rewards for it.

Hive solves this problem, and we are waiting for you all to join us: https://hiveonboard.com/create-account?ref=hivepeople

If you’re passionate about the Black Lives Matter movement, comment below and help moderate the community. This community will be handed over when the BLM leaders are here.

Thanks,
Stellabelle

I joined this group, this community and I shared this post because I love what Martin Luther King Jr said in his speech, I Have a Dream. People should not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I totally agree.

thanks for your comment. I recently watched a MLK documentary and that speech was so inspiring. It's amazing what he did in his time, and yet he was murdered too.

Yeah. True.

White house again whited with people's blood!

Thank you Stellabelle for lending your voice to this movement.

Join the movement 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I am part of the movement. No fear!
I really wish I can go on cam to speak about these inhumanity.

are you interested in being an admin also?

Yes Stella. Let’s see how we can encourage the black community. 🦾

ok great. I'll add you.

done. you're an admin now.

It's very nice your Real purpose.
Thank you to be real and to fight for our African civil rights !

I just know that we need a community where we are free to discuss and examine what is going on....a supportive community to share our thoughts....

Facebook was really intoxicated social media platform and full of negative vibes! I am tired of it, so, I did share Positive vibes especially about HIVE and music! I'm trying to avoid NEWS, it gives me a headache! LOL

Black and white in the US have long been a problem and have always been discriminated against each other. I really can't understand why they can't accept each other? Is it about the color or the attitude?

Pardon what I'm about to say, the problem is that in the US, Atheists are godless and do not fear to do evil and so many Atheists in the US. Ignorance to God is Ignorance to love your fellow man! Find a religion that is not looking for money! Find a religion that is the pure doctrine of Christ and find it in a television program called The Old Path. On Youtube it is available.

I've donated the post payout from this, plus an additional tip to Black Lives Matter. Here's my receipt:

Equality can be recognized from a perspective of objective morality. Outside of that, subjectivity can lead an individual towards adopting the views that Hitler had regarding pruning people via force.

no, it was started by the three women listed above.

if you're not really engaged in this community or for Black lives Matter, maybe it's not going to be enjoyable for you.

Hive is a place where we voluntarily join communities that matter to us.

Black lives matter is a leftist organisation that works directly with ANTIFA. Black lives matter members literally go to protests and throw rocks at people. google "jeb bush beats up black lives matter member."

This organisation is funded by Nazi George soros and pedophile human trafficker group the Democratic National Convention.

you are free not to join any community you disagree with here. Just simply put energy. into something you want to help build.
