Hello very good morning, Hive community, I share with you another handmade drawing. This time I made a portrait of Master Armando Reveron who was a Venezuelan artist precursor of Arte Povera and considered one of the most important artists of the twentieth century in Latin America.
Despite being misunderstood by society, he was admired by artists and intellectuals such as Pablo Picasso, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Fernando Botero, Alí Primera, Gabriel García Márquez, Antonio Saura or Sofía Ímber. In 2007 MoMA organized a retrospective of his work, the first one dedicated to a Venezuelan and the fourth to a Latin American painter.
I made this drawing with the technique of pencil shading, using pencils 2B, 4B, 6B, blurring, wiper and crayon, the gradient is essential to achieve the shades of light dark, I made loose strokes for the hair as well as in the beard, I wanted to include the color in the shading to give it a different touch so I used a light color so that it would not overshadow the 90% that is done in the pencil shading, giving color to the eyes gives more life to the drawing as it highlights the unique brightness that has the look of a person.
I made this work on May 10th because since 1983, on this date is celebrated in Venezuela the National Day of the Plastic Artist in Venezuela, a date that commemorates the birth of one of the men who has left the greatest artistic and cultural legacy to the country, Armando Reverón.

Hola muy buenos días comunidad de Hive les comparto otro dibujo realizado a mano. En esta oportunidad realicé un retrato del Maestro Armando Reverón quien fue un artista venezolano precursor del Arte Povera y considerado uno de los más importantes del siglo XX en América Latina.
A pesar de ser incomprendido por la sociedad, fue admirado por artistas e intelectuales como Pablo Picasso, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Fernando Botero, Alí Primera, Gabriel García Márquez, Antonio Saura o Sofía Ímber. En el 2007 el MoMA le organiza una retrospectiva; siendo la primera dedicada a un venezolano y la cuarta a un pintor latinoamericano.
Este dibujo lo realicé con la técnica de sombreado a lápiz, utilizando los lapices 2B, 4B, 6B, difuminador, limpiatipo y creyón, el degradado es fundamental para lograr dar las tonalidades de claro oscuro, realicé trazados sueltos para el cabello tanto como en la barba, quise incluir el color en el sombreado para darle un toque diferente por lo que utilicé un color claro para que no opacara el 90% que esta realizado en el sombreado a lápiz, con darle color a los ojos le da más vida al dibujo ya que resalta ese brillo único que tiene la mirada de una persona.
Esta obra la realicé el 10 de Mayo ya que desde 1983, en esta fecha se celebra en Venezuelaen el Día Nacional del Artista Plástico en Venezuela, una fecha que conmemora el natalicio de uno de los hombres que mayor legado artístico y cultural ha dejado al país, Armando Reverón.
