Muy buenos días a todos 😊 Una de mis aficiones es la cocina, inclusive trabajo en una casa de familia y he aprendido a hacer diferentes recetas, aunque la mayor parte del tiempo, no fotografío lo que cocino por cuestión de tiempo. También me destaco en la elaboración de postres, más que nada pasteles para mis seres queridos. Hoy decidí compartir con ustedes una receta sencilla, perfecta para el desayuno o la cena.

Ingredientes:
- 200 gr de harina de trigo.
- 100 ml de agua (1 taza aproximadamente).
- 2 cucharadas de aceite.
- 1 pizca de sal al gusto (opcional).

Procedimiento:
En un recipiente se colocan todos los ingredientes y se mezclan con una paleta de madera hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea. Luego, se coloca la masa en un mesón para comenzar a amasarla durante aproximadamente cinco minutos, para que todos los ingredientes se compacten lo mejor posible. Tras amasarla, cuando la harina en nuestros dedos obtenga una textura más o menos lisa, se deja reposar un rato.

Tras dejar reposar la masa, se divide en varias bolitas las cuales se estiran utilizando un rodillo hasta que queden bastante planas.

Luego, en un sartén (preferiblemente de teflón), se coloca la arepa a fuego lento y se tapa para que se vaya cocinando, revisando para voltearla en el momento en el que la arepa, se haya tostado lo suficiente y se cocine el otro lado.

Y de ésta forma, las arepas estuvieron ya listas. Con estas cantidades obtuve dos arepas. Esta receta funciona también para hacer una especie de pan árabe.

I also excel in making desserts, especially cakes for my loved ones. Today I decided to share with you a simple recipe, perfect for breakfast or dinner.

Ingredients:
- 200 gr of wheat flour.
- 100 ml of water (approximately 1 cup).
- 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 1 pinch of salt to taste (optional).

Procedure:
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix with a wooden spatula until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Then, place the dough on a counter and start kneading it for approximately five minutes, so that all the ingredients are compacted as best as possible. After kneading it, when the flour on our fingers obtains a more or less smooth texture, let it rest for a while.

After letting the dough rest, it is divided into several small balls which are rolled out using a rolling pin until they are fairly flat.

Then, in a pan (preferably Teflon), place the arepa on low heat and cover it so that it cooks, checking to turn it over when the arepa has toasted enough and the other side is cooked.

And just like that, the arepas were ready. With these quantities I got two arepas. This recipe also works to make a kind of Arabic bread.
