En uno de los capítulos de Kotetsu Shin Jeeg aparecen dos personajes que me gustan mucho, en versión chibi: Takeru y Baruba.
Me gustó tanto que no resistí la tentación de dibujar una versión de ellos con una mezcla entre el estilo del anime y mi propio estilo.
Fue un poco complicado al principio lograr lo que tenía en mente porque, a pesar que sabía lo que quería dibujar, no lograba decidir en qué ángulo o en cual posición colocar a los personajes, así que me tocó probar varias veces hasta lograr la que me hiciera sentir que estaba más aproximada a la imagen que tenía en mi cabeza.
Me llamó la atención que tanto Baruba como Takeru, comparten la misma paleta de colores y tienen mucha similitud, como si fueran un reflejo el uno del otro en diferentes especies.
Takeru tiene el cabello larguísimo, así que tuve ocultarlo hacia el otro lado, de lo contrario, no creo que se haya podido ver el cuerpo en ese ángulo.
Pensé al inicio que lo más complicado sería dibujar a Baruba, ya que no dibujo animales con mucha frecuencia, sin embargo me resultó más rápido de dibujar que al mismo Takeru.
Ya que en el anime se hace mucha referencia de cómo Takeru amaba la belleza de la Tierra, lo dibujé en un campo, rodeado de mucho verdor para que sus colores hagan contraste y tanto él como Baruba sean el centro de atención de la ilustración.

Me gustó dibujarlo en versión chibi y creo que haré algunos otros fanarts con ellos, aunque también quiero trabajar las versiones adultas de ellos. Baruba es el más complicado, tiene muchísimos detalles así que será todo un reto dibujarlo.
¡Esta semana no he hecho ilustraciones del Capitán y de Ylia! Había empezado la ilustración de uno de los temas del grupo de parejas pero no me gustó como estaba quedando y estoy por hacerla desde cero. Espero poder terminarla el fin de semana y poder mostrársela la próxima semana.

In one of the chapters of Kotetsu Shin Jeeg, two characters that I really like appear in chibi form: Takeru and Baruba.
I liked it so much that I couldn't resist the temptation to draw a version of them, mixing the anime style with my own style.
It was a bit complicated at first to achieve what I had in mind because, even though I knew what I wanted to draw, I couldn't decide on the angle or position to place the characters. I had to try several times until I found the pose that felt closest to the image I had in my head.
I noticed that both Baruba and Takeru share the same color palette and have a lot of similarities, as if they were reflections of each other in different species.
Takeru has really long hair, so I had to hide it to the other side; otherwise, I don't think the body would have been visible from that angle.
At first, I thought that drawing Baruba would be the most complicated, as I don’t often draw animals. However, I found it quicker to draw than Takeru himself.
Since the anime makes a lot of references to how Takeru loved the beauty of the Earth, I drew him in a field surrounded by greenery so that his colors would contrast and both he and Baruba would be the center of attention in the illustration.

I enjoyed drawing him in chibi form and I think I will make some other fanarts with them, although I also want to work on their adult versions. Baruba is the most complicated; he has so many details, so it will be quite a challenge to draw him.
I haven’t done illustrations of Captain and Ylia this week! I started the illustration of one of the couple's theme groups, but I didn't like how it was turning out, so I'm about to start it from scratch. I hope to finish it by the weekend and be able to show it next week.
